whether we like it or not - there will always be preferential treatment for some people within an office space.

it may be based on competence, nepotism, sexual relationships, being in the inner circles, shared history - etc

the original argument is that the power dynamic makes these relationships coercive and i call BS on that.

i did not know at the time - but my former ceo used to knack a lot of women in the office.

and most of these women were not interns or entry level or junior staff but senior management. they could get another job easily and one actually did after she and the man fell out.
