@OP, How about suggesting that car owners renew their papers with their NIN. Once they violate traffic rules, take a photo of the plate number and drivers face, send a ticket to the car owner and copy the Nigerian police. Once the ticket hasn’t been paid in a month impound the car and jail the driver.

Some issues shouldn’t addressed hammer and tongs fashion.

The whole objective of the corp is to save lives

Arming them is like saying doctors or Red Cross should carry guns
Nigerians always like to abuse and intimidate people when they have power

Why don't judges carry guns even the president? Does that diminish his authority?

FRSC should be asking for ambulances, training drivers and dealing with deaths such as those arising from Dangote trucks


Road Safety should be their focus
They should be going to schools training children

They should have a say in road design and deploy CCTV on roads



That means Preventing accidents and helps victims of accidents

Not shooting people.

They should develop technology to catch any offenders and honesty FRSC should not be doing any kind of law enforcement on the road

Its high time they are scrapped if they are not ready to do their work ...wetin concern road safety with Arms ? You are not a revenue agency but you have e turned yourself into one so you need guns to extort drivers ...if I was the president I will sack this man this night for this statement

Not everyone has to be armed. The FRSC obviously doesn't value the lives of its personnel. Arming road safety makes them a target for the terrorists rampaging all over the country, killing police and civil defence and taking their guns.
