I bought a used 43 inch TLC TV from a seller in the market, i asked him what's the guarantee on it, he said 2 months. 10 days after, i was watching the tv only for it to start showing blurry images on it's own, i switched it off put it on again it was the same way, i immediately sent the seller a picture of it on Whatsapp, he said i should leave it off and try again that if it continues that way, i might have to bring it back let him see what he can do, but it was still the same way. I took the tv back to him, we went to his technician, he checked the tv and told him it was screen issue, that the screen needs to be changed, and it'll cost 180k. Now the seller is saying, I'll have to wait for him to restock, and after restocking, I'll have to pay again, that human beings die without sickness not to talk of electronics. According to him, he can't return the tv to the dealer he bought from so in such case, I'll be the one to bear the loss. I told him what about the warranty, he said assuming the tv got burnt it would have fixed it, but because it's screen issue he doesn't have that kind of money so therefore I'll be the one to bear the cost. Another seller intervened and told him he's wrong, that we should split the loss, i should bear 70 percent while he pays 30 percent. After back and forth, they said i should come back after some days to confirm if they'll find another brand of tv then i add 120k to it, while the seller pays 60k. But after rethinking it, it's clear the seller is trying to cheat me because how can i buy a tv worth 200k and 10 days after you're asking me to add 120k to swap to another one when the issue is clear that you sold a faulty tv to me. Please i need your advice, what's the best way to solve this case, because I'm thinking of collecting my money back because how sure am i that the one they're talking of changing it to won't be faulty too. |

How I wish you have a soldier friend that will just follow you to his shop. That's how they behave, always trying to reap others |

Those guyz are big scam, you should have purchased it from a trusted store unless you got a second hand TV. |

First, I think you have a cognitive issue, otherwise, you wouldn't be posting a trade dispute under 'Politics.' Secondly, why do you think involving a soldier wouldn't create more problems for you? People who involve soldiers in civilian matters are generally uninformed. If the soldier kills someone who is connected, you'd spend a very, very long time in prison—long enough to even forget what brought you there. Imagine transitioning from a trade disagreement to conspiracy to commit murder and second-degree murder in one swoop. Where it gets even more interesting is that the soldier's superiors might actually cover for him, and you'd bear all the consequences. Thirdly, why would you even think of buying used electronics or anything that could be tracked to you? What if it was stolen? You'd still need to bribe the police before you're off the hook for buying stolen property. Fourthly, why don't you simply report this case to the police? That would be the logical thing to do instead of dreaming of using force. Finally, stop buying used things you can do without. A TV isn't that important that you should shell out money you barely can afford, especially when you know you can only buy a used one. |

Legacy, Knowledge, Truth, Researcher, MonsterBut you appear to have done none of the above, lol. Do you at least have a receipt and a written guarantee? They might help when you go to police, though I'd have thought there's a consumer protection office something somewhere that deals with sale of faulty goods. Or maybe not. I been away too long. |

Igbophobia:A friend was saying i should just accept the terms they gave me without involving any law agent, but it doesn't sit well with me because this is something that didn't last up to 2 weeks and they're already asking i should give more money. |
