Bandits struck again on Friday morning in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, attacking two brothers working on their farmland in Lema community.

One of the victims was killed on the spot, while the other sustained severe, life-threatening injuries.

According to reports by Nupeko TV, the assailants stormed the farmland, located just a short distance from the main settlement.

The latest incident highlights the deepening insecurity in the Lafiagi Emirate and across Kwara North, where farmers and residents face growing risks of attacks even near their homes.

The injured survivor is currently receiving emergency medical care, while the community mourns the loss of his brother.
Further details are expected as authorities and local security groups continue to respond at the scene.

On Wednesday, the Kwara State Police Command confirmed that armed bandits launched coordinated attacks on Motokun and Agboro communities in Patigi Local Government Area on Tuesday.

According to the state police command, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, six residents of Motokun were abducted during the raid, while six others sustained gunshot injuries.

Tragically, one female victim later died at the hospital, with the remaining injured currently receiving medical attention.

“The assailants subsequently moved to Agboro, where they targeted a private company. In the course of the attack, one police officer gallantly lost his life in active service, while properties within the facility were also vandalised,” the police said.

well for kwara state MSBABA on Facebook has warned that Islam has come to steal lands and take over possession and in kwara state they love anybody that dress in hijab or Arabic look or style.

So that's same way they accept bandit all in the name of religion 🤔

When una wise finish ehn una go pursue anyone that dress like that .

I know someone will still quote me wrong but in reality even if they catch this people today as long they can say SALAMAKEKUN they will still free them and leave them to perform more attroticies in d state .

The people of this state are some of the people that love Tinubu most in Nigeria and they passionately voted for him. Since Tinubu ascended, the state has be plunged into insecurity the likes of which it has never seen before. The funny thing is that, Tinubu has not once said anything about what they are going through. You you why? Because he did not like them of course; he likes only himself and care about his ambition only.
This is another rallying call for the people of this country to always select leaders that will better their lives. There is great benefit in that.

My fellow Nigerians. We in kwara north are suffering. Most people have run away from their homes. We can't go to farm and our investments are gone. We can't sleep peacefully at places we run to. Yet we don't see peace coming soon cos our government are still sleeping on the matter. We've been left with our fate, gradually things are going from bad to worst. Who are the people that the government want to govern, we are dieing in numbers and in pains.

With the allocation given to the states , I think governor is unalfair to Kwara people.
The kwara state governor should create or join exiting AMOTEKUN, these guys are doing good Job silently in SW.
