Even during regionalism when they were left to rule themselves,they were backward and everyone of them was fleeing to Ibadan which was the most developed, richest and most progressive place then.
Ibadan is still infrastructurally more developed than the entire SE.

It takes time to be an industrial economy. LIke a generation. And unless you want a dictator like Park OF korea, Deng of China, even LKY of Singapore, or consistency over the decades, you won't get there.

Has any Igbo governor, or for that matter any other Nigerian governor turned his state into China and Japan? Dem go do am for Nigeria, where most people, Igbos included, want daily bread now. Is it a country where people love palliatives, and laugh at leaders who bring long term plans...that go become like china and japan in one term?

Such a country ends up with leaders like tinubu. Simple and short. Even Obi...how many industries that can export consumer goods to the world did he site in Anambra? Same thing for tinubu, and even buhari and gej, and many of our past leaders self?
