Zionmdde:Dangote didnt defy any law to begin with, The Law stipulate everyone has right to associate or " Dissassociate" .. emphasis on " Dissassociate" because people like you only put out " association" However Dangote as an entity acted within his right as an employer to Dissassociate, and he made his management rule ... i dont want unionism which is permitted by the law An Employee also has rights which is subservient to Management Rules, however what an Employee have thats supreme is choice to stay n abide by Rules or Exit go to where favor you But in All of these Pengassan cant force Dangote to bend for your Right, when you have choice to Exit As for Pengassan they are just hiding behind a finger to carry out there interior motive to sabotage Dangote , and they will fail ..... Dangote has his trucks n direct supplies Pengassan contibute nothing so there strike attempt wont work On every truck registered to pengassan they collect 100k or is it 1m ... that is what is paining them not the workers ... its about the money they will lose on dangote trucks awon were |

Alhaji Aliko Dangote is a good man that wants the best for the country. He only needs very little from his money to survive, he's doing it all for Nigerians to enjoy and more progress to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, future richest man in the world |

From many of the write ups you'll know many have spent time living in face me face you apartments and don't know it's unhealthy for 100 people to share a single toilet and bathroom which constitutes an environmental hazard. Many don't know the labour laws of the country so they can afford to spew trash against Unions and speak for Dangote who they slave for. Is it not Dangote trucks that have been killing people on the high ways and everyone keeps silent because no driver is found and plate number of truck is taken away.... |

PENGASSAN are quick to cite "laws of the country" which they themselves blatantly flout at every given opportunity. The "laws of the country" which they cite talks about "freedom of association" but, PENGASSAN is making belonging to an association "compulsory". So, who's disobeying the "laws of the land" when all workers are being constrained into belonging to a union by force? Where, therefore, is the "freedom of association"? The Industrial Court and, indeed, the Supreme Court needs to clarify this burning issue if a stop is to be put to the excesses of PENGASSAN and her affiliates. @hotseat |

nero2face:You are just regurgitating what every hate-filled outsider is saying without showing concrete examples, as an ex employee of Dangote group, what practices he engaged in that would make him inordinately jerk up prices. Or is it the same cement jingles you want to repeat? You want the premium quality to cost lesser than the non premiums ones even though the price difference is only marginal? ![]() |

Too many long epistles for me to comprehend here. Please, I just want to know if the supposed strike is indefinite and if it will possibly disrupt fuel supply to filing stations. Thank you. |

By now... PENGASSAN should have been suspended as a body and anyone parading himself or herself as executives arrested...till they know there is a thin line between Unionism and Economic Sabotage. Tinubu is too slow on this matter |

hotseat:Let me try to explain this to you like someone who failed WAEC. PENGASSAN did not coerce Dangote Refinery employees to join its Union. The employees willingly and overwhelmingly joined the Union. Upon hearing that its employees have joined the Union, after verifying all those that joined, they were sacked! Over 700 Nigerians sacked and you are here rationalizing. |

PENGASSAN is the strongest obstacle in the development of Nigeria energy sector, the same union that cannot run a refinery is attacking the only functioning refinery in Nigeria. |

Thank God for Dangote. He is the only powerful man that can fight this blood suckers. He tamed NNPC, NUPENG PENGASSEN is the last kick of a dying horse. Now we see why no refinery has ever worked in this country. Imagine if it was an ordinary business man that built this and is facing all these fights. The person will have folded up the business and count his losses. PENGASSEN should go ahead and shut down oil production, that one na Tinubu go personally deal with them for sabotaging the economy for Thier selfish reasons. |

P1PrinceKT:If you own a company and you have the opportunity to either employ Nigerians or foreigners, who will you employ? See, let me tell you, an average Nigerian is greedy, wicked, heartless , selfish, self centred and a saboteur and they wouldn't mind grounding your company just to establish theirs. Just last year, my beauty home was grounded by Nigerian employees and this year a Nigerian bus driver sabotage my transportation business that I put under his care and in both cases I ended up losing millions. You think if I have the opportunity next time I would want to employ Nigerians? |

These associations in Nigeria are a pressure group, and in many instances a means to enrich a few. See the Nigerian Legion, at a point they started acting as an arm of government , collecting revenues from truckers, issuing permits, truckers were paying this association to allow their trucks to be branded with the Nigerian Legion logo. Sometimes these association forget the fact that they are just a “mere” association. Same with pure water association. You must pay them before you can have a pure water factory. These association in this part of the world are aimed at self-enrichment. They don’t protect anyone… may be in a few cases. Where is NLC today? After all manner threats accepted under 100$ as salary for workers per month, and right in their face many governors rejected this deal and fired workers. People who are actually running businesses in this country feel the futility of these unions. The essence is always about getting dues and nothing else. How many unions is Dangote going to deal with? Truck drivers union, MAN, PENGASAN, and many more will arise, all suffocate this man. The only one who has risked it all to build a refinery in Nigeria, while the rest kleptocrats are buying houses in Dubai and London.. even. Florida. We should all do our best to protect and stand for Dangote. No one amongst the ruling class shown this nation much love in deed. The rest are busy dinning in Monaco, flying private jet to Paris, riding Royce on pot-holed streets. The few who dare. only venture into banking and hotels. Sometimes, we swallow some of these so called Democratic structures without understanding that they could be stifling growth. Come try union for Dubai or China… even Singapore when it involves a critical national asset. Many developing nations will not tolerate this level of threat in name of unionism against a critical national asset. We should protect this refinery with all our strength.. because our government will never ever build one. |

PENGASSAN can not do pass ASUU and yet ASUU have become irrelevant and humbled. Gradually we will overcome every obstacles holding nigeria back. People keep shouting monopoly as if other private refineries are not being built as we speak. Monopoly this monopoly that. Can’t you guys for once just chill and reason by yourself instead of allowing online influencers to reason for you? These cabals are using online influencers to manipulate people opinion, crawling on every threads spewing nonsense. |

| Re: Dangote: PENGASSAN To Embark On Nationwide Strike On Monday by Sugarboyy(m): 8:39am On Sep 28, 2025 |
P1PrinceKT:The Nigeria constitution doesn't stipulates that every employees must belongs to a union, it's not mandatory. It's the choice of an individual to join a union or not (freedom of association) and because of the antecedents of Nigeria unions, privately own companies can decide not to employ unionised members and it's still within their right. If my company becomes a multi national, before anyone is employed, I will make sure the person sign that he/she must not belong to any union an if the person goes contrary, I will have the right to sack the person without gratuity. If the person nor gree sign, make he/she go meet their union to employ them. My company can't be grounded by union members because another company did fellow union members wrong |
