Those people saying rapture is September, can they empty their bank accounts to help the needy? I asked based on the output of rapture. It is expected that the good folks will be taken away right? So why leave you account balance for crooked cashiers and bankers who will use it to corrupt the earth further? |

safarifarms:John the baptist, Jesus of Nazareth and first century disciples of Christ all said: “Repent, for the Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.” Mathew 3:2; Matthew 4:17; Matthew 10:7 So if anyone attached dates to when they were saying these things how long are we still to wait before the kingdom come since John the baptist, Jesus Christ and first century Christians carried this message some 2,000 years ago? Instead of humbly learning to know what happened you people just open your mouth to say things you don't understand. For your information whoever says JWs are false prophets for preaching about God's Kingdom should first question John the baptist, Jesus of Nazareth and first century Christians because that's what they said over 2,000 years ago and the kingdom is yet to come!🤔 |

gohf:Since there are many schools of thought, don't you think it is wise to simply get prepared in case one of it or the one you least believe in, turns out right. The pre-tribulation school of thought simply awakens ones consciousness towards early preparation, prior the tribulation. If the others turn out right, the element of surprise won't be as much and so, still okay too but if wrong, can be disastrous for the unprepared. Looking at the stated, which one do you think the devil will want most people to believe? |

stancydg:does one really need such, "a school of thought", when we realize God can call us home at any point in time? Do I need to consider something that contradicts what Jesus and the apostles thought because they are many who teach such? My answer is no And to answer your question on which one the devil will want most people to believe, it will be to believe that the one coming is Jesus Christ of Nazareth meanwhile it is the Antichrist that is coming first. So as to deceive the world that Christ has come meanwhile it is the false Christ that has come. |

Maximus692:None of those you quoted gave a date or month or year. Jesus even said no one knows when it will happen not even him as Son of man. How do you compare that with the failed calculations of the Jehovah's Witness? The Kingdom does not come by observation. |

safarifarms:Good! So can you quote a publication of Jehovah's Witnesses where a specific date is mentioned regarding the end of badness? Note that each time people witness John's activity saying "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand" observers set a date in their own minds based on the very time they heard him. People who heard Jesus also set a time in their hearts based on when they heard him. This is the reason why John the baptist later sent his disciples to ask Jesus if he is truly the Christ or they should be expecting someone else. Matthew 11:3 John thought since Jesus is here now and the spirit of God said Jesus is the Christ who will rule the world so there is no time to waste. What about Jesus' disciples? After his resurrection they asked him the same question anticipating the time when what they preached as he commanded them will start happening! Act 1:8 All these happened but no specific date was mentioned it's those listening that's attaching dates to what they heard. But to prove me wrong please present a publication of Jehovah's Witnesses where a specific date was mentioned regarding the end of badness. Thank you!🙂 |

Please let us not be sensational. Pastor Kumuyi has been teaching on the book of Jude for quite a while now. He was only expounding on the text. If you connected it with Rapture stunt, then it was only coincidental. OLAADEGBU: |

What a smart move to demand for a publication to prove JWs claims made in the era that didn't yet have Internet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unfulfilled_Watch_Tower_Society_predictions Excerpts: 1878: End of the harvest In 1876, Russell adopted the belief promulgated by some Adventist preachers that Jesus' parousia, or presence, had begun in 1874 and that the gathering of the little flock preliminary to the grand climax was already in progress. Using a form of parallel dispensations that incorporated "types" and "antitypes"—historical situations that prefigured corresponding situations later in time[9]—he calculated the harvest would extend only to 1878, at which time the gathered saints would be translated into spirit form. 1881: A revised end of the harvest By 1881, Russell had found a biblical basis for extending the harvest to a new date, later that year.[5] He explained: Coming to the spring of 1878 [...] we naturally and not unreasonably expected some change of our condition, and all were more or less disappointed when nothing supernatural occurred. But our disappointment was brief, for we noticed that the Jewish church (and not the Gospel church) was the pattern of ours, and therefore we should not expect parallels to Pentecost or to anything which happened in the beginning of this church. Russell wrote that "the light upon our pathway still shines and is more and more glorious" and that since 1878 the light had glowed stronger. The timing of their translation to heaven seemed nearer, he wrote: "We know not the day or hour, but expect it during 1881, possibly near the autumn where the parallels show the favor to Zion complete and due to end, the door to the marriage to shut, and the high calling to be the bride of Christ, to cease." gohf:Read bible without argument to understand it. What do you mean that jesus never talked about rapture? 1) he said the day and hour knoweth no man but the father. Which hour is jesus talking about there if not the rapture? 2) jesus himself said two women will be grinding, one will be taken, the other will be left. So, where is the woman taken to if not rapture 3) Jesus told his disciples that thesame way they watch him ascend, same way he will also descend. 4) the man of sin/anti-Christ/beast/false peace you are talking about is even the one jesus never mentioned. But is mentioned by Paul, Daniel, John in their different books 5) the anti-Christ coming is primarily to kill Jews, Christians and this is the goal of islam which hopes to fight Christians with the assistance of al-mahdi (the future anti Christ). Muslims actually look forward to the coming again of Mohammad lost son Al Mahdi and will fight alongside him to destroy the Christians and Jews 6) jesus is coming to judge the earth. Judgement will be spiritual and physical - after ressurrection of the dead. They will be judged ineir resurrected body 6) the difference between jesus returning and the anti-Christ coming is that the anti-Christ is a religious movement which beheads Christians or anyone who refuses to bow to the anti-Christ or accepts his religion. Islam is actually that anti-Christ religion in my candid assessment. Because Islam beheads those who refuse to convert as written in the Qur'an. Jesus is the prince of peace, the anti-Christ takes up a fake peace identity just like Islam which is falsely claim to be a religion of peace. The anti-Christ is preceded by a false prophet who goes before the anti-Christ to decieve the world into false religion. I believe Mohammad is that false prophet the book of revelation talked about that will decieve the world to false religion |

safarifarms:Why do you keep going round in circles? From the time of Abraham God has told his worshipers that there is going to be an end to badness through the offspring of Abraham! Genesis 12:1-3 So when John the baptist, Jesus of Nazareth and first century disciples of Christ are saying: "Repent for the Kingdom is at hand" Matthew 3:2; 4:17; 10:7 What do you think they meant? In fact Jesus said to his disciples: Do you not say that there are yet four months before the harvest comes? Look! I say to you: Lift up your eyes and view the fields, that they are white for harvesting. Already. John 4:35 What exactly is the difference between what Jesus said here and what International Bible Students Association said? Please i asked you if a specific date was mentioned not if God's people are going about proclaiming the coming of God's Kingdom just as John the baptist, Jesus of Nazareth and first century disciples of Christ did. The point remains that neither John the baptist, Jesus of Nazareth, first century Christians or Jehovah's Witnesses mention any specific date but they all keep proclaiming the coming Kingdom of God as if it's coming tomorrow! 1Corinthans 11:26 |

Your people did same thing as those who went to wait in the forest. That's why they got disappointed. "The failure of Russell's prediction did not significantly alter the movement's short-term, date-focused orientation. " If the failure is difficult to understand, go and ask your people about it. They are the ones who went in circles like you are doing now. MaxInDHouse: |
