Please Nairalanders, how do we know when a topic/discussion is taken to the front page. How do we get to read what is in the front page.
Thank you very much for your help and explanation. Have a beautiful Sunday.

You seem intelligent but hatred, bias and ethnicity has eroded your sense of professionalism. When did seniority crept into this issue? Obi is a man like the Olubadan. They were both former governors around same time too. This is professional matter and not some family meeting. Obi is not a subject of the Olubadan. You lots are just pathetic anyway
You forget the fact that seniority is a clear FACT. Obi addressing his age mate like Soludo and the Obi as elder brother says a lot. They are not in the same class. Professionality comes with intelligence.

You people just like wahala.
In Tinubu massage, he called him brother and later Accord him as HIS Majesty..
His Majesty regard. is a way to bestow honour to someone.
But ObI and Atiku called him brother without some word of honour.
However, I won't blame them much because they are not from same tribe who understood the accestral value of those thrones.

They all served in 2003 government and they are almost the same age and ATIKU is married to a Yoruba woman but how is PETER OBI connected to Ladoja?

I hope the Yorubas enforcing this respect can hold our erring leaders with the same energy. It should not be a selective thing. Because what is dealing with Nigerians supersedes this rubbish we're debating now.

Both the new Olubadan and Peter Obi were governors of their respective states around the same time.

They would have met each other at Governors Forums and other important occasions and functions.

One has to wonder why context and nuance doesn't matter to some of us who only seem to take delight in creating petty and insignificant conflicts.

Surely you guys are better than this, and hopefully you will prove that you are indeed capable of rising above this standard, but we won't hold our breath waiting for you to grow up.

These 2 positions gives you more exposure and political networking across the country.
How would Obi know how South Westerners always have their ways in the North.
You and your region obviously needs the education more.
Another thing is, where in my comment did I tussle or compare the heirachy of any of the aforementioned positions?

Can you imagine the discussion that has gained traction in a country like ours!

And we are buying into it, taking sides.

MY BROTHER LADOJA!

To all my brothers always dwelling on trivia issues to attack obi. Know this today and write today's date down. Tables do turn oo and how it turns is only known to none else but God Almighty Nobody must stage any eye protest or yell marginalisation when it happens. Ask fulanis, who behaved as if they owned Nigeria during late Buhari's administration. We are supposed to be more civilised. Gov Ladoja, now Olunadan was Peter Obi's mate as governor and the duos must have had good times together as governors.

He even recognised Oba Ladoja first by the oba title in his opening statement before calling him brother, which isn't a bad thing, unlike tinubu who went straight and called him brother, someone who's supposed to know better, what culture connotes in yorubaland. That's even arrogant and against our culture, for me.

Nobody knows the next hour's event, talk less of knowing what could happen tomorrow.

Enough said
This is word of wisdom. Whosoever have ear to hear let them hear.
God bless you.

My brother as a greeting is deeper than any greetings. We should understand that Nigeria is made up of different tribes with different culture, understanding and how to show respect. Igbos doesn't bow or lie down to greet their kings or older person. Why don't other tribes respect their culture? All these camelion bowing down self, na waoooh.

This has been explained many times and Obi himself has unusually taken to correction and given a semblance of apology/explanation.

https://x.com/PeterObi/status/1972179171196465455?t=asg2iyWUO-oMwROcXkprmw&s=19

Obi's son, Oseloka cannot be calling his mother dear sister, just because she's about 17years older than him. Obi is 17years younger than the Olubadan.

Both Atiku and president Tinubu are closer in age to the Olubadan, and have been his seniors politically. The President and former VP are no 1 and no 2 positions in the nation. Moreover, as senators, senator Tinubu was a higher ranking senator than him.
In practice and life, the trio have been close friends for decades. The same is not applicable to Obi.
You go explain you go tire

You don't need to call him Obingo before passing your message. At least we know Obi, no one knows you or whatever........
Nobody knows the guy whom you quote. Obi is a public figure, the more reason decorum and panacea are expected of him, but sadly, he doesn't seem to have it!

Y'all are saying Atiku and Tinubu also referred to the new Olubadan as 'Dear Brother', so what? Atiku is 78, Tinubu is 73, pray, how old is Obi? Is he within their age range? Should Tinubu and Atiku have said 'Dear Father'?

17 years is no joke! Someone should tell Peter-Lamba-Yes Daddy-Agbọtikuyọ-Obi that he has gaffed. He doesn't have to wish him anything if he wouldn't.

Brother is brother. Daddy is daddy simple. Calling someone your brother is not lack of respect. Maybe only in your village.
