Those that are deceiving themselves thinking Russia and China will allow Africa to grow are dreaming. If Chinese and Russians help Africa to grow all these Chinese phones and products we are carrying up and down where will they found market for them, the steel company built for us by Russia has it ever work.

Ok Geography teacher. I mean Europe (~~Former~~ colonial powers) as a political bloc - "insert France, Germany, UK etc". Not in the geographical sense, and as a matter of fact, only 23% of Russia is in Europe, the rest is in Asia.

Oga you just spoken the truth. Our allies are not interested in our development rather they are after our resources. Who de ally with America, France, Britain these days. Some of our African leaders are wiser now. Only wicked ones are still following them upandan. If headache worry them, na to run go France or Britain. If they steal monyo, they open their banks for them to come hide it. They buy big mansions there with stolen funds. We never see French, British, American people come to Nigeria to buy houses. Check the other countries that Russia signed deals to build Nuclear power plants. All of them are completed and currently in use by those countries.

Including in China, India, Turkey, Iran and most recently Egypt. More than 20 countries in the last 10 years.

Blame yourself. No project in Nigeria ever comes to fruition.

The project obviously didn't go ahead because "Friends of the Earth - Nigerian branch" (Which was started by, guess who? USA, UK, Sweden, France) decided that it's not a good idea for Nigeria to own and operate nuclear plants because of possible "radiation accident". We have massive unexplored uranium deposits in the North by the way.

Whatever the masters pressure us on, we must comply. The intention from them is clear - Africa MUST NOT rise. Also successive governments seem to shelve the projects of its predecessors in Nigeria.

I never knew that but China that has been in Africa for over a decade now ,what is changing?
You never hold your own leaders accountable for anything but make excuses for their corruption and incompetence.
As for the nuclear energy agreement, it's a welcome development, maybe this is what Nigeria will be needing in the long run if we can't manage the current power generation effectively year in year out.

Don’t say what you don’t know, has it occurred to you that Russia was responsible for developing Ajaokuta steal? The Chinese people have always been here setting up companies and employing our citizens although at some point they maltreat workers that’s the failure of Workers Union however the American government you people adore so much won’t want to see Africans have such development instead they will rather steal the resources and move it abroad to develop their own country, Africans should wake up and understand those who meant well for them, if we start developing ourselves internally and seek the help of countries like Russia to champion it then we will be a force to reckon with in the world

Kogi state is a great location. Far inland for security reasons, near the river Niger and an abundant water source to cool the plant.

But at around 1 or 2 gigawatts per plant this remains a drop in the energy bucket this country needs to cook up a dynamic economy.

Too much risk per output.

We mist not think like just because we have no issues with Russia today or Africa isn't in Ukraines position so its all good. It can be Africa having issues with Russia 2moro. What standards will standby or hold on to?
