Wallade:So what do we have leaders for? Why do we have a government? If the citizens are the ones to lead by example then what is the purpose of leadership? Why do we have leaders? If everybody can just become good then what is the purpose of government? |

Brendaniel:Maybe you should study philosophy. Your questions are now losing connywitg the topic and becoming academic. I have no time for that philosophy discuss. |

jaxxy:Go buy a land inside the airport since it has a Federal agency. Common sense should tell anyone that the land belongs to a the Federal government. Now I why 419’s would always prospers with people like you. You know the land is for the government, but some one will use Microsoft word to type document and sell to you. Do you think you sounding sane? Accusing the government for a land that is well known to belong to the government. What do you want to go and say in court? That Mr. Azuibike allocated the plot to on a well known FG land. 🤣🤣🤣 Anyways, I also have a plot inside the National Theatre. It has a Federal agency too. and all documents are intact. |

Wallade:You cannot answer because the truth is staring you in the face but you want to keep living in denial, Where in the world do you see followers leading their leaders by example? Is it Banks, religious bodies, schools and so on? but in Nigeria people like you want us to believe that leadership by example starts from the followers, you people flip logic over its head. The reason Nigeria is the way it is today is because of people like you, just look at the country today, does it look like what normal people are governing? Followers emulate their leaders, show me any institution you know that the leaders emulate the followers but to you guys logic should be thrown away to support your person. |

Are there not bank buildings in the Trade fair? SEP should ask their people to learn to obey state laws and regulations If FG is not complaining then which one is your own https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/824063-why-were-demolishing-buildings-at-trade-fair-complex-lagos-govt.html

Brendaniel:They don't have permits or approved building plans from Lagos State Government |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by aribisala0(m): 4:46pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
jaxxy:The federal government cannot approve building plans for private individuals. If the Federal Government acquired the land then there must have been a purpose, if it no longer needs it for that purpose then it should return it. The Federal Government does not need approval for buildings belonging to it but cannot sell land to people and start issuing permits E.g FG acquired land for agriculture no longer needs it and then sells it to individuals for building houses and goes on to approve plans The FG does not have such power This matter has been litigated in the Supreme Court when Tinubu was governor and Osinbajo Attorney General Attorney‑General of Lagos State v Attorney‑General of the Federation (2003) (SC. 353/2001, 2003 12 NWLR Pt. 833, It is a settled matter Some people were deceived in Abuja ,they spent money getting dagbo permits and when state officials went there last year they beat them up thinking Abuja papers are superior Last year the LASG gave amnesty for buildings without permission and extended it several times but they were arrogant |

| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by aribisala0(m): 6:53pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
Brendaniel:That is what the government said . The government spokesperson. Omotosho came out and made the claim on TV I have not heard any one come out to contradict him I do not need to be sure I am not an interested party and this is not a court My certainty is irrelevant which makes your question meaningless |

jaxxy:You must have been banned for rude language You are continuing You said YOUR BIGOTRY when you quote people try to read what you are quoting Read and comprehend Very important In my post I cited a Supreme Court judgment Attorney‑General of Lagos State v Attorney‑General of the Federation (2003) 12 NWLR Pt. 833 (SC), SC.353/2001: Did it register in your consciousness? Did you bother to look it up? Make an effort It is public knowledge What evidence have you got for my BIGOTRY |

aribisala0:That was my earlier response to ur earlier post not the one u quoted the supreme Court judgement. I will look at ur links but my position and response is quite self explanatory. |

Brendaniel:Are you saying the government is incapable of telling truth |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by Brendaniel: 7:49pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
aribisala0:That is why we need to apply logic and common sense when dealing with such matters.... My point is the government should not act like the people who built there are the only people at fault, the government itself is be blamed more going by anything and as such might even need to pay some form of compensation to every affected building owner.... |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by aribisala0(m): 8:00pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
Brendaniel:You did not answer the question Are you saying government is incapable of telling truth Crucially you have not evidenced why we should disbelieve government Has anyone tendered any permit? Did Lagos state government mark the buildings as they claimed Did Lagos state declare an amnesty last year calling people to regularise their papers You have your own version of logic and common sense Which at this point is of no relevance The issue was the claim by the government that they do not have permission from LASG to build That is a binary it is either true or false. There's clearly a legal dispute. Anyone who feels aggrieved would need to go to court |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by Brendaniel: 8:45pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
aribisala0:So are you saying the government was blind when people were building there for years and even started using the place for commercial activities? |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by aribisala0(m): 8:49pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
Brendaniel:So Are you saying the government was blind when it demolished the buildings |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by Brendaniel: 8:52pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
aribisala0:They failed to do their duties early enough, that is the point, there would be no demolition if they didn't fail in their responsibility... |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by aribisala0(m): 9:06pm On Sep 29, 2025*. Modified: 9:48pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
Brendaniel:That is not relevant to me You can contact the government for explanation What I do know is that there were thousands of buildings with no permit in Lagos and last year the government declared an amnesty for people to do the needful https://www.housingtvafrica.com/lagos-state-introduces-three-month-amnesty-for-owners-of-buildings-without-permits/4 They extended that deadline more than once https://punchng.com/gov-extends-amnesty-for-illegal-buildings-to-december/ So people had plenty of time and opportunities to do the right thing Some people have a habit of not obeying the law How many of those playing victim with one card or another can show how they followed due process in the first instance or failing that tried to take advantage of the amnesty and were denied |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by Brendaniel: 9:07am On Sep 30, 2025 |
aribisala0:The bolded up there is why Nigeria is where it is today, important thing are not relevant to those in power and their supporters like you, I mean look at Nigeria of today, does it look like what normal people are governing ? As usual throw away logic and common sense that talks about the important issues and count them as irrelevant then focus on pettiness and nonsense that adds no value to the country. That is the Nigeria of today under Tinubu while people like you cheer him for nonsense... |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by aribisala0(m): 9:16am On Sep 30, 2025 |
Brendaniel:What is important or relevant to you depends on your intellect which is not the same as mine You cannot impose your standards on me What is relevant to me is facts and evidence not sentiments or polemic Facts are LASG claims the buildings have no papers if any aggrieved person disagrees they can go to court or even social media Fact is LASG declared an amnesty and extended did any aggrieved person try to avail themselves of this opportunity again evidence required Fact is there is a Supreme Court judgment from 2003 when Yemi Osinbajo was Attorney General The federal government cannot issue building permits is the interpretation of LASG anyone who disagrees can go to court That is what is important to me at my intellectual level At your level it is whether the government was blind when the buildings went up So different things are relevant to different brains |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by Brendaniel: 9:24am On Sep 30, 2025 |
aribisala0:At the bolded, we can see the standard you people have imposed on Nigerians with Tinubu coupled with the one Tinubu you support imposed on Nigeria twice with Buhari.. We can see how the country is in terms of relevance to you and Tinubu's brains, I mean take a look at the country, it terms of relevance according to you people's brains., isn't it clear why the country is the way it is today... |
