safarifarms:
You just quoted the portions of the Bible that puts the claims of your people to shame. Then you go back to the lie that Kumuyi is my pastor. I'm not a member of deeper life. So he's not my pastor. Face the issue and stop trying to force Kumiyi to be my pastor.
Stop lying!
If he's not your pastor why quote me in the first place when you are not interested in the topic of discussion?

safarifarms:
Acts 1:7 (New International Version)
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
That's Jesus' response to his own friends who asked him when he is turning over God's government to Israel! Act 1:6
So they believe God's Kingdom should come in their lifetime! wink

safarifarms:
Your people thought they knew better than Jesus by coming up with timelines and God shamed them. Deal with that and stop claiming Kumiyi is my pastor. I didn't even bother to watch his video. Your mockery of him is what drew my attention considering that you have a bigger log of wood in your eyes which you will rather beat about the bush when confronted.
End of badness totally differs from your RAPTURE case. All servants of God did exactly the same thing anticipating the end of badness but this RAPTURE of a thing is not scriptural at all.

That's my point! wink

You even sound angry on top and requesting for the use of sense cheesy cheesy cheesy

What kind of low mental reasoning is this? If I confront you for mocking someone then it means I must be related to the person? Is that the level of low you can get to? If you are not proud of your people's claims or you can't properly defend them say so instead of thinking that I would deny Kumuyi if he were my pastor. If he was and I don't agree with him I'll do the honorable thing which is to leave him.

The disciples asked the questions because they'd hoped even expected God's kingdom to be a worldly kind of Kingdom and they had hoped to rule this present world with Jesus. Nothing wrong with that. And Jesus responded to their ignorance to clear their minds. But your people still don't get it and came up with timelines that failed. You can tell us if they've now learned their lesson but I guess not that's why you've been turning the discuss upside down trying to shy away from the issue. Keep bringing in rapture as if I said your people talked about rapture. I'm not like you who tries to force ideas or words into someone's mouth. I never argued with you if rapture is scriptural or not. You raised it and argued with yourself. What you should be defending or explaining is your people giving fake deadlines.

I dey feel you my guy but we're products of God and we can't be complete without Him. Whatever it is you're seeking to make you happy is only in the God who made you. The Pursuit of Happiness ends in Christ . He is your everything. God will see you through but first make peace with Jesus. Return to Him while the opportunity is still and acknowledge Him as the Lord of your life and let Him know the challenges you're facing. Lemme tell you a Lil story. Before I lost my dad, I used to think he was God. He was everything to us. Whenever we have a need. He was always there to meet it even when he was ill and had spent most of his money to sort health issues, he still found a way to get our needs met concerning our education.
God took him away so I can learn to depend on Him more.

You can't be complete without Jesus. Just make up your mind today. Get honest with Him letting Him.know the challenges you're facing and how hard it is on you and He'll come through for you. He'll fill that hole in your heart and fill you with Peace inexplicable and indescribable. Give your life to Jesus

I quoted you because you mocked him while you guys also have skeletons in your cupboard.
You left the log in your eyes to point at the peck in another man's eyes. He doesn't need to be my pastor for me to notice the hypocrisy. I have no business with his doctrines and where ever he gets them. Just as my message on this thread wasn't about your JW doctrines but specifically about having a timeline which is unscriptural.

John the baptist, Jesus of Nazareth and first century Jewish Christians all talked about God's Kingdom at hand and faithful people have been anticipating it from time immemorial but RAPTURE is a strange doctrine.
So if you like hit your head on the wall it is not a case of modern day Christians it has been the same all the time as God's servants keep anticipating the end of badness! wink

Maybe you need revision in English. Saying an even will happen soon is different from giving a specific timeline that fails.

It's you who failed to use discernment if John questioned Jesus' authenticity {Matthew 11:3} and his disciples spread the news that Jesus will come within the lifetime of apostle John {John 21:22-23} that's enough evidence their expectation regarding timelines failed but they never mentioned a specific date.

Meanwhile the topic of discussion here is RAPTURE something that doesn't exist in the Bible at all yet Kumuyi (your pastor) is confused not until the coast is clear that no rapture is coming before he started talking! cheesy

Rapture is the topic of discuss in your head meant for Kumuyi (your pastor). Me I'm only concerned about curing your confusion on your JW failed timelines.

By the way, why does your people teach that the Kingdom of God was not established on earth until 1914(The Truth That Leads To Eternal Life, pp. 87, 99)? How did you guys arrive at that date? Is it one of the illusions that you will want to compare to the expectation of the early Christians?

Wow. You dispute your pastor's RAPTURE because it's not in the Bible but believe in a fictitious 1914 date given by JW as cover-up for failed timelines even though it is not in the Bible. You are just so wonderful.

You want me to ask for a free home Bible study instead of defending it here for others to learn too. You gladly debunk Rapture that I didn't ask you but danced about the bush concerning your JW failed predictions else I would have pressed for you to share how you came about the 1914 date. But I already know how that will end. No point wasting my time. But for your information, just like Rapture is not in the bible, your 1914 date is not in the bible, hence also unscriptural. Only God know where all you guys get all these additions when the Bible already warned about adding to the bible.

The dates weren't written when the first century disciples of Christ figured out so many things after it had happened for instance Jewish scholars in the first century knew something is about to happen during the time Jesus was born but they don't know exactly how it will happen it was later that Jesus' disciples remembered what scribes and Pharisees taught them and connected it to the time Jesus was born.
So the year 1914 surely has biblical and historical backing pointing to the birth of God's Kingdom in heaven under Christ Jesus if you want to know go now and ask for a free home Bible study with Jehovah's Witnesses but if you feel it's a lie no wahala! smiley

I didn't say it is a lie. I'm asking you to point to where you got it from the Bible. Same way you wanted Kumiyi (your pastor) to show you rapture in the Bible. Simple. No double standards. You didn't ask Kumiyi to send his people for a home Bible study.

I'm not asking Kumuyi any question i said RAPTURE doesn't appear anywhere in the Bible so if any church teaches such a doctrine then it should be within them just as Jehovah's Witnesses only teaches 1914 Christ's Kingdom rules among ourselves.
But in this case this RAPTURE of a thing is being said by people of different religions not just one that's why i asked where it's written in the Bible since they are all saying it like it's written somewhere in the Bible.

1914 is a doctrine only among Jehovah's Witnesses it's like when the Jews were expecting Elijah and Jesus of Nazareth told his own disciples that John the baptist is the long awaited Elijah.

Of course that's a doctrine among only his disciples not something they published among other Jewish religious sects who are still expecting Elijah nah! smiley

Can you show where you got this doctrine from the Bible? Can non-Jehovahs witnesses who use the term rapture use it in peace as their own doctrine? And by the way the mentality finding ways of condemning others just so you look better is not Godly. Those who use the term rapture do so based on a scriptural event. Even when the Bible didn't give a name to the event that doesn't make it a problem. And it's even better that they coined a name for a scriptural event than come up with dates or timelines that have no bearing on scripture. In fact, the attempt is actually against what Jesus taught as he said no one knows when and some comes up to say he knows which in essence tries to make Jesus a liar. If you can't show where you got your year from the Bible then better stop condemning others

So your problem is that different denominations agree to use the same term to describe an event? You would have preferred they each have different terms for the same event? How does that make sense? The idea of even having a term in the first place would definitely be to ease communication. So instead of going about a lengthy explanation, a generally accepted term is used. But you say it must be in the Bible else they each use different terms. Then what will the essence? Will you understand me if while communicating with you as we are doing now I interject with terms in my native language that you don't understand?

I see the whole objective of all these baseless condemnations is just a way of giving your group some kind of validation to make you all feel better than others. From condemning choice of worship days to choice to celebrate Christ on certain dates etc, where you attach paganism to it when those who do the celebration are not attaching or having any business with paganism.

In the end you only behave like the Pharisees who felt better than others by hiding behind laws of men. Best they got was condemnations from Christ.

The problem is the real meaning of that word "RAPTURE" because biblical it makes no practical sense.
Rapture means a sudden arrest which the victim or affected ones doesn't want so in the dictionary it's linked to the word RAPE.
So i want to know how this word is linked to Jesus who has informed his own friends of what will happen to them and where he is taking them!🙂

Following is an excerpt from what I found from a simple google search. But you have have perfected the culture of digging up the most sinister of meanings of things just to make others look bad while fanning yourselves. Of all things, your choice for the meaning of rapture is "RAPE". Meanwhile in all my existence which I've heard the term being used, it has never ever been connected to RAPE. Your thought pattern is actually disgusting. Well while rapture means RAPE to JW, that's not the meaning that those who use it have. Several words have multiple meanings and the meaning per time is based on context. If it always means RAPE to you guys, it says a lot about what goes on in the minds of your people.

Are you joking right now?

You want to bring in the meaning of an English word which doesn't appear in any version of the Bible and to prove it's authenticity you are quoting theologians who tied the English word to the Bible.

Ọmọ is this a joke?

Google is telling you what theologians fabricated and gave it that name not the meaning of that word in English so if it doesn't appear in the Bible but theologians fabricated it how do you expect real Bible scholars to agree with them?🙂
