No one was disturbed that you dance skelewu in the mud as a way of worshipping your Oba.
That's none of my business.
I only responded to the person I quoted initially because he was throwing tantrums while making all sorts of petty ethnic innuendos..
If he kept his "culture" of rolling on the floor to himself, who am I to interject?
He made it look like those who don't roll in the gutters to greet a "huge poster" of their elder are culturally arrogant and impudent.., so I had to set him straight!
You understand?
Keep rolling on the floor to greet your socalled elders over there, but don't make it look like those who don't do same are unAfrican or something. No!
You just have your strange type of culture, amd they "other people" have theirs.
Simplicita..
Nothing to fight about..

the man is a poor man adenuga, alhahji rasak and other rich men there can't do that, I say one poor Yoruba woman answering ma ma ma 200 times when making calls with kneeling down
Poor man and Adenuga in the same sentence shows how deluded you are.
Also, don't hold others to what is obtainable in your culture. If you kneel 200 times or you prostrate to greet someone does not in anyway make you a good person.
The same people that prostrate can still flog their elders during election

Tinubu addressed ladoja as a friend.

Atiku addressed ladoja as a friend.

Obi addressed ladoja as a friend also and it's causing turbulence and uproar. They should please stop crying and continue their suffering and smiling.

To a poster and some Yoruba ronu call this normal. I pray every single Yoruba supporting this will some day prostrate to a poster in the street by the grace of Almighty God. Nigeria will happen to u and ur children. They will see tilubu’s poster and prostrate to greet. So shall it be for you all calling it normal.

I reject poverty for everyone against this act of shame as a result of a failed nation.

An elderly man was captured on video prostrating in respect after sighting a banner of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The gesture drew attention as part of the traditional reverence accorded to the monarch during his coronation celebrations in Ibadan.

If some people can bow before a supposed "king" of the Jews, there's no reason the man should not dobalé for a king he knows and can confirm his existence.

That's Yoruba culture.. both young and old must pay homage to the Oba and that's done by prostrating or bowing to greet the King (no matter the age).
That's not the king, it's a damm poster.

I can bet with anything that you can not prostrate to the Oba's picture and that's disrespectful. You rather choose to do the ones you want. You only show that respect to the wealthy ones and close relationship and not the poor ones. I no blame you guys sha. Your eye services are second to none

We will patiently wait till 2027 when he comes begging for our votes before we show him this receipt.

Don’t get me wrong, I never said Peter Obi will not be President, but he will only be the President of Biafra Eze Gburu-Gburu. grin

You want to put one leg in Biafra by demanding the release of a known Terrorist - Nnamdi Kanu and another leg in Aso Rock by canvassing for our votes? Habaaa! E no fit happen na!
Has you or anyone in your lineage achieved or even tried to achieve what Peter Obi has achieved?

I don't think anyone in your lineage has ever commanded in his house the respect Nnamdi Kalu commands in Igboland.

They do it. Even an octogenarian like Obasanjo prostrates for any Yoruba monarch. They're showing respect to the throne. Yoruba is the most respectful of Nigeria's tribes. That's why they command respect everywhere.

You reap what you sow. Those who easily disrespect elders, continue undecided
every tribe prostrate for there elders but doing it to a poster on the road no follow

When one see someone who grew up without parental care and love, one would know.

Parents please, provide homes for your children. Leaving them to fend for themselves at as young as 5 years is not good at all

Chinua Achebe a prominent Igbo and a global literary icon had this to say about The Igbo, his kith and kin -"There is no doubt at all that there is a strand in contemporary Igbo behaviour that can offend; by its noisy exhibitionism and disregard for humility and quietness."

Peter Obi is still very much more influential and powerful than him. I didn't even know the oba existed untill you people brought his matter on Nairaland.

Bowing to the king in person is culture. But bowing to his portrait is idolatry. Mind what you call culture. This isn't North Korea. sad

But portable who is a filthy tout was smashing the late Alafin of Oyo's wife before and after his demise.
What can you say about that?

Is it because portable is Yoruba?

You obviously do not know Yoruba Culture. Mike Adenuga has postrated many times for Awujale. Google is your friend. Even Former President Obasanjo, who is arguably one of the most prominent and successful yoruba leader still alive has prostrated for the new Olubadan and many more Kings including Olu of Warri.

It is a symbol we carried all over the world. Even Yorubas born abroad are taught about this culture. Anthony Joshua is known to do it for elders. We may have a handful of Yorubas who do not find it ok. But majority omoluabis will gladly so it anywhere anytime with pleasure.

If you think it is only for the poor, think again.

If it is strange to you, we cannot help you.
