When I was in the University, armed robbers followed me with guns as I was coming home and took me to my room.

I stayed off campus and that is how one of the armed robbers sat on my chair with a gun pointed at me to bring what is in my possession.

As a student,I was only having 500 naira then and I quickly gave the armed robber the 500 naira.
After giving the armed robber the 500 naira,I went into my wardrobe and started scattering it myself searching for money I did not keep there.
I was searching o o o then the armed robber now told me to stop searching 😆.

He told me to come with him to knock the door in the next room close to me.

I went and knocked and after knocking, I quickly went back to my room and layed on the floor with my face down.

No be small thing.

My own experience is a long story, but I'll make it short. I lived off-campus too and for several months, armed gangs burgled hostels and raped female students in all the neighbouring hostels around us except ours. So, we knew they would visit us someday. It was so bad that they attacked one hostel twice within 3 weeks.

So, we decided to become our own security as local virgilantee had failed us. The plan was for us to run security shits among all the students in the hostel. When it was your week to secure the hostel, you would sleep on top of the metallic house used to suspend the GP tanks that supply water to the hostel. You stay with your phone and torchlight, the moment you notice any suspicious movements, you call the virgilantees as we didn't have firearms at the time.

Immediately one put his hand inside through window to cut the protector, I used Cutlass to cut his hand. He shouted and his group ran for their lives.

He was later handed to police where he confessed and the rest were caught.

Don’t believe anything you see on the news especially if it relates to police or govt. They will straight out lie in most cases. Have a run in with them and see.

I'm suspecting she knew the armed men were coming for her specifically, they had to make it look like a robbery...the reason she decided to jump from a 3 storey building.

If they could infiltrate protests to cause chaos aand justify forceful tactics, what stops them from infiltrating the society to control the media and achieve same again?

I was staying off campus too and the night they came to our hotel around 2 am everyone was asleep. They broke our room wooden door and was like 2 that entered, they were armed with gun and cutlasses. one was flashing touch light to blind us and the other was collecting phones plucked in the sucket since we had Nepa that night. My roommate who is very stubborn and a hard man was itching to grab the one collecting phones but I held him back because I was lying inside between him and the wall. Luckily I had my phone in between me and the wall and they couldn't see it. The phones they collected was that of my roommate and that of his girlfriend who gave it to him to charge for her, and the robbers thought it was mine since we were two in the room. It was when they left that we found out they came inside the hostel through the window of one of the hostel members who are cultists themselves. How they broke the iron protector is what made us to suspect it might be inside job with collaborators from outside. They tied the aboki security man. Mind you our hostel is a big hostel with up to 40 rooms and they robbed almost all the rooms simultaneously, meaning they were many. When daybreak came, my roommate was insulting and abusing me for being a coward and he told everyone and they were blaming me for stopping him grabbing the one that was picking phones.
