Na your loss or what?

Once they are successfully redeployed, they will no longer be under pengassan or nonsense-ssan.

By then, dangote can decide to week them out one by one for non-performance, and pengassan will not have the jurisdiction to fight for them.

You may argue that the jobless nlc will then jump in to fight for them. Until then.

Nigerians need to start asking questions about how nlc, pengassan and other unions use the funds accrued to them over the years. We need an hashtag.

#whereisthemoney-pengassan
Weed out the people he spent millions to train in India, and the people that have already gotten enough experience to get better jobs abroad

Do you even know why dangote made them sign bonds before their training? Man must be licking his wounds by now. I guess you have never reached the level of knowing what it takes to train staffs and lose them immediately

unions are there for a reason. to prevent slave labour.
this man does not trust nigerians, so he employ Indians. that's colonial behaviour

MuchAdo:

So far there are NO unions in Dangote refinery cheesy

PENGASSAN can go to hell. It's game over for them. No union can hold Nigeria hostage anymore cool

Lol . Those staff will all be sacked again. Redeploying them to other parts and firing them soon after will be treated as isolated incidences that occured at different times . Not that they will be in one company at the same time . It is a Trojan horse and Pegassan has accepted it .

As a private business , you have the right to hire and fire anyone for whatever reason . Rehiring them is just to bid time and get the strike suspended .
NAH !! Dangote really get sense, to is Team i say wow, Such a brilliant solution moving forward

There is no point sacking those Employee anytime again, they have being neutralized and rendered uselezz for whatever mission Cabals might need them for

Other businesses of Dangote are " Secured" they cant sabotage it, But the " Refinery" ota po ju enemy lor cheesy

Those workers have been disarmed... kudus to Dangote team

Story story

They will be flushed out eventually under one guise or the other.

How dare you dictate to your employer? What effrontery! angry
Some of them could have left earlier if not for the bond they signed. Now dangote frees them from that bond, they will go with all the training and experience and guess what? Lots of refineries abroad can't wait to have them. Imagine their salary compared to dangote 300k grin grin cheesy

Summary: dangote spent millions of dollars to train them for other companies

Who lose?

The Players?
PENGASSAN Vs Aliko.

The game?
Checkers Player Vs Chess Player.

The duration?
Short-term Vs Long-term.

Only true business investors will understand the level of Aliko's win. A few employees and business people may understand too though.

PS.
Unfortunately, most people commenting on this issue seem to be hustlers who don't fall under any of the structured income bracket.

If it was that easy they won't have been fighting to stay back in the refinery.
Infact they would be happy to leave or have tendered resignation since when the company went against thr will.Stop claiming what u are not.If u are part of them u lacked wisdom
Me work in dangote's company? Ahhhhh see insult na

Most of them could have left there if not because of the bonds they signed na. Now they are free. They will go one by one

Dangote can spend more employing experienced Indians oooo, or training another batch, who will also join union and jakpa

Some of the workers would still be called back to the refinery. But they will NEVER join PENGASSAN/NUPENG again with this experience. Unless the worker is a fool.
So Dangote has won.
Re: PENGASSAN To Call Off Strike as Dangote Redeploys Sacked Workers by franugo(m): 11:06am On Oct 01, 2025
Seems like a way for both parties to save face, although it does favour dangote more. No staff in the refinery will now dare to join pengassan with the fear of redeployment, most likely to a less enviable environment and dangote can quietly lay off the concerned staff at a future date, if he wishes to do so, without much uproar.

That's if they are luck to even get the job in these times when countries are locking up opportunities against foreigners.

But he sacked them earlier and they were asking/protesting for their jobs back, if it's that easy to move to another place, do you think they'd have gone to this length to get their jobs back? You're talking of bonds, if an employer terminates your employment, that nullifies any bond you have with him, so I'm not sure how a bond held them back after dangote sacked them

They were not protesting rather pengassan was making a statement. If they were easily dispensible then why did he make them sign bonds.
Or did you see any of the sacked workers in the street protesting? Those guys are easily employable finished products for IOCs and oversees companies

Think wide

With the knowledge and training those guys have, they will be hot cakes in middle east and some parts of Africa. Actually they were freed from the bonds they signed because of the money spent on them

Leave those people who think that the world revolves around dangote 300k job
Most of the signed bonds and that's what's keeping them there

Imagine an engineer, trained in india, part of the refinery design and commissioning, a world class refinery for that matter. Looking for job, na wa ooooo

I still don't believe....I have former colleagues that worked there, they have all left. Nobody I know worked in Dangote Refinery that spoke well of the place, unless THINGS HAVE CHANGED THERE OVERNIGHT, which I seriously doubt. Indians I know don't treat their employees well.
Re: PENGASSAN To Call Off Strike as Dangote Redeploys Sacked Workers by frog12: 11:41am On Oct 01, 2025
you dont understand. The Indians are benefitting so they will not complain.

the history behind the behaviour is the British when they colonise Africans, they bring Indian labourers to work on the plantations because the British hated the locals.
That's the behavior you are seeing. There is nothing wrong if you employ few expatriates, but when you bring thousands of them to replace sacked Nigerians, it means you no mean well for Nigeria.

Yes, but definitely not all of them. Some may not even have enough practical experience because Dangote refinery is still very young.
And I don't believe people were trained in India and they are being paid 300k as salary in Nigeria. That is not possible..

Redeploy the sacked Nigerians to non-existent positions in the other companies under Dangote group while he employs the 2,000 Indians to start work in his refinery..

Nigeria which way?.. where are we heading to in this country??
Redundancy will kill them wherever they are redeployed to and they will be frustrated out. That's what they'll see.

Mark my word, they'll still be sacked when reorganization happens in their new company. Next time they'll not join Union and it'll be a lesson to the incoming ones.
