How Gtbank Steals from the poor! by Elliotwaveforec(op):
They used to have a feature on their website where customers can easily opt out of SMS notification! Suddenly, they removed it and has made it difficult for people to stop SMS notification.

Many poor people banking with the bank complain about their account being debited every month from the little balances in the accounts.

Why can't this bank find other ways of making money instead of oppressing the poor?

I complained about them not giving interests on savings balance, while Opay does! This month, they paid an interest.

So if no complaint is made, they wouldn't pay interest on savings accounts. They've never paid interest on monthly basis on balance.

About interest, atleast my current bank say, you only get interest on savings if you do less than 4 withdrawal in a month maybe GT also has their own T&C

On this part, most (if not all) Nigerian standard commercial banks won't pay you interest after making more than 3-4 withdrawals in a month. So, take note of that.

This is one of the reasons I have multiple bank accounts; not because I have lots of money. smiley At least, the interests will cover other charges and some.

I wonder, if opay can give interest on a daily basis. Why can't they give on a monthly basis.

I also need to deactivate SMS notifications from GTbank. They should send me mails and only send SMS if it's OTP

Which means they are thieves! Opay pays interest everyday whether you withdraw ten times or not.

They'll not deactivate it! I went to the bank and filled an indemnity form, nothing was done. They still deducted money this month.
I now do my transactions with Opay.

Would you believe that they deliberately removed a link on their website meant for stopping SMS notification?
