Akpabio Appeals To Nigerians To Keep Enduring Pains Of Tinubu’s Reforms by Maxymilliano(op): 4:59am On Oct 01, 2025
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has urged Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu’s reforms, saying the country is moving in the right direction.

Mr Akpabio, who believes Mr Tinubu’s reforms are beginning to yield positive results, appealed to Nigerians to endure the pains of the reforms for a little while in the interest of the children and future generations.

“In line with the theme of this year’s celebration, ‘All hands are on deck for a greater Nigeria,’ I urge you to continue to bear the temporary discomfort of the ongoing reforms.

“We are not unaware of the pains occasioned by the reforms, but I want to assure you, very soon, this will be a thing of the past because the benefits of the reforms are beginning to manifest positively,” Mr Akpabio said.

The Senate president made the appeal in a congratulatory message to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

Mr Akpabio said, ”At 65, we are mature and should be working for the unity of the nation and prosperity of our people.

“We salute your resilience, patience, and endurance in the last two years. We deeply appreciate your support and understanding.”

He congratulated Mr Tinubu for demonstrating a commitment to the peace and development of our dear country, as well as the National Assembly for their steadfastness in legislative engagements.

“I must tell you that Nigeria is not finished. Do not buy into the mischievous narrative that Nigeria is irredeemable.

“We are on the right pedestal, and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is reshaping the country; we are growing and making progress,” Mr Akpabio said.

Mr Akpabio said Nigeria will become better and reach its promised land if all citizens join hands to support Mr Tinubu’s reforms.

I honestly don’t understand these people.

Was Tinubu’s sole purpose for grabbing power just to inflict pain and untold hardship on Nigerians only to turn around and tell them to endure it?

Since he grabbed, snatched, and ran with power, he and his gang have done nothing but dish out suffering, while preaching endurance to the very people they’re actively punishing.

Nigerians are constantly told to keep enduring, while the architects of their misery live in comfort and luxury, untouched by the chaos they created.

Are they enduring anything themselves? Or is pain now a burden reserved only for the masses?

Nigerians must keep enduring pains while your potbelly stomach continues to grow bigger as you loot Oil money and taxes with reckless abandon.

The worst Senate president in the history of Nigeria.

The likes of late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo would be shocked in their graves that such an Obtuse yes-man element, occupies such a revered seat as the Senate president.

But the leaders are swimming in abundance and wealth, while the poor masses are left to endure the pains of Tinubu’s reforms.

At this point, it's beginning to look like mockery. Tinubu said they have delivered on their promises while Akpabio is preaching endurance of pains and suffering.

They are destined to endure pain. It runs in their bloodline. Their parents bore it, and their children now being told to endure instead of fighting for freedom. At most, they’ll vent their frustration on social media, a place where laws aren't made. The poor will always be with us, not just because Jesus said it, but because the system was built to keep them there.

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

The arrogance of Nigerian leaders is sickening, they merely verbalize their advises for endurance and patience to we Nigerians but will never ever economize their own life's of wanton luxury.

So what works are you doing to get us out of this APC shege mess and back to the deregulation and privatisation prosperity of PDP’s 16 years huh

thisweekng:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

Surely it will soon be over...how it will be over is whatvthey aren't saying...it became over for Sommie when she had to jump to save her life from armed robbers. It even became more over for her when she was rejected by a government hospital.

It has been over for numerous Nigerians who took their lives cos they couldn't survive.

It is over for the residents of Yelewata and Kwara who lost their lives.

That it will soon be over is sure...the question is what will make it over for you when its your turn?
