So encouragement for TrebleChamp

Veteran actress Bimbo Akintola has called for Nigerians to embrace polygamy as a part of the country’s tradition.

In a recent interview with Biola Bayo, Akintola argued that polygamy was a common practice in Yoruba families, where men often have multiple wives.

She stated that the current perceived shortage of men in society makes it practical for two women to share one husband.

She said, “With the way the world is going, people should embrace polygamy. You say marriage is everything, so if we don’t have enough men according to statistics, does that not mean two women to one man?

“I also believe it is part of our tradition. Most of Generation X, Yorubas, and even our parents had two to three wives. It was something we saw while growing up. Maybe we also noticed the disadvantages, but some people say there are advantages too.
She even made reference to men like izzou below

According to Akintola, some women may even welcome sharing a husband as a way to maintain peace in the household.

“I know some women who would rather have a second wife. I even know someone who married a second wife for her husband so that she could have peace. They didn’t have the same libido. His was higher than hers, so she thought, ‘this man will kill me, let me find support,’ and she married a wife for him”, she added.

You are making reference to someone who isn't married at 50
What do you expect from her
Naturally, women don't share but she doesn't even have one

Banks advertised aggressively in those days, and their ads were so glamorous and audacious. I mean, their ads were by far the best on TV especially Bank PHB, Societe Generale Bank, Oceanic Bank and All States Trust Bank.

The ads featured handsome, immaculately dressed. successful-looking and smooth talking men and women doing the most out-of-the world things. Even the accompanying soundtracks and slogans were memorable. I remember BankPHB's own in particular, impossible is nothing and one day cars will run on water.

Okocha must have been enticed by Societe General Bank:s advert for him to have lodged $1m in the newbie bank because even then, there were older, stronger, and time-tested banks in the country
i think okocha met saraki one on one and charmed him. bank chairman and gomina things. meeting at the club in britain. okocha eye too chook to drop 1m because of advert wey okocha sef dey shoot for pepsi

Was Societe Generale a new Bank like that? I could swear I've known about them since 80s or early 90s
There was an old French or Swizz Bank by that name, Societe Generale Bank so many erroneously thought the Nigerian Bank was affiliated to it, and had solid financial backing.

Saraki too cleverly never dispelled those thoughts cos it was to his business advantage. Maybe that one too follow hoodwink people into doing business with the bank.

The Nigerian Societe Generale Bank was a distinct business entity separate from the European bank, and was founded in the 90s I think.

As much as I believe that this may make our leaders step up, this isn't a true picture of the killings in Nigeria.

Muslims have died too. Why are they excluding that?[/color]

I do not agree that its a religious motivated killing most of the people killed in Zamfara in Niger in Kwara are Moslems but any attention and pressure that can be put on Nigeria govt and any collaborator is welcome by me. I am expecting that any intervention will not stop the killing of Christians alone or Moslems alone

All those people dying daily like say na chicken don do. This has gone on steadily for over 15yrs.

If they call it geno-side or mass murder any name they call it I agree

It pains me seeing people just going to sleep and knowing that death is coming simply for the crime of existing

i agree its BS, but there has been so much inaction by the nigerian govt in the face of actual persecution that it is easy to make a case of religious persecution

deborah was killed and NO ONE was arrested . rather you had northern muslims thumping their chest and celebrating the murder

Pantami was called out for being a terrorist sympathizer in the past and it was never properly investigated. this man had allegedly instigated students to murder a christian when he was chief imam at ABTU

then we have the repeated bloodletting of Christians in kaduna

once upon a time, the targets of boko haram were christians only. but now it is everyone

but foreigners can be easily manipulated - especially as he elections are coming and this is the story opposition politicians want tom sell

Omo B. Rodger’s has helped him regain some form. He is performing across all competitions. It’s a big shame his goal was cancelled by VAR today. He looks leaner and in better condition.

This is a balanced view.

There's general insecurity in the country. But it's the incessant killing of Christians for blasphemy which has gone unabated and uninvestigated that has made it a targeted Christian genocide
