Nigeria matter na die. You really can’t make this up. It’s just common sense our needs as a people are constant, same as anywhere else in the world. So how can a government fail to build structures that actually provide for those needs and motivate people to work? The way oil revenue has been handled over the years is nothing short of a monumental waste of our natural resources. |

Richtaiwo:Oga, Abuja, most of Abuja, did not have water scarcity problem. Nothing like "one at a time". The water treatment facilities were definitely ignored by Wike, for this to happen. |

Wike will Not solve all the problems of Abuja in two years |

The only project Wike has in governance is road construction, outside road, nothing else. He did it in Rivers State. Building new schools, new hospitals, and other infrastructure is not his business, you will only eat road according to Wike's style of governance. |

femtex007:Should everyone now buy water because you are buying water. They have a water system from the government the government should make it work. In Delta State that I am, nobody will ask government to provide water. We all have our own boreholes everywhere. My water runs 24/7. But those whose government has been provided water should be given water. |

Just tell him that the Judges don't have water to bath, wash and cook, and see him work wonders. |

ogugwa1992:An appointed boy boy of the people has turned himself to the Paramount ruler of Abuja. He has even carved a golden stool for himself where he holds jester court sessions with journalists. His exaggerated sense of self importance is not helping matters. A man who competes with himself to please Judges so that he can curry judicial favours. Nigeria don suffer. In short, Nigeria is in trouble. |

In my area here in gwarinpa, aboki sells water between N150/N200. Upon that, the gallons are dirty and since there's no alternative to water, you have to manage. Most times, you need to see how neighbors come over to bang our gate for water. Water is really scare in Abuja |

Richtaiwo:They're not talking about hunger, unemployment or insecurity. He's talking about one of the most basic necessities. Common, you don't have to expose your efulefu all the time. See roads in gwarinpa for instance. Abeg! |

Pharaoh4rin:It seems boreholes aren't a thing yet there in Abuja because of their water table in the ground. In Lagos, nobody sends the underperfoming state government who has a massive Water Corporation office bustling with a large number of workers, who work very hard, day and night to supply Lagosians dry taps..😁😁😁 Na boreholes everywhere |
| Re: Wike Builds Roads, But Abuja Taps Run Dry - Teslim Momoh by Richtaiwo(m): 9:06am On Oct 03, 2025 |
Pharaoh4rin:One at a time, chinedu. Wike cannot address all the problems of FCT in 8 years, it has to be one at a time. Before wike became FCT Minister, shebi there is a way the used to go about their water problems? Abi na wike Road construction cause the problem? They should continue getting their water from the usual source, when it is time to address water issues, it will be attended to. But for now, one at a time. This is one of the several problems of finishing specialists. Once they see an office holder working, they quickly go and pick one area that has suffered neglect over years just to smear the performance of the office holder. Pitobi spent 8 years as gov of Anambra state, yet Anambra is the worst state in water supply. So, chinedu, calm down, it is one at a time. |

Richtaiwo:You mean the govt should construct all the roads in Abuja before attending to the water supply needs of the people! |

Security in Abuja is between zero to minus 1,000,000 under Wike. Any Government that cannot address insecurity, armed robbery, banditry, kidnapping and ritual killings should resign. |

BadEnglish:I believe they have water system that they were using through our Water Board system. May be it has not be functioning for some time now and they want it fixed. |
| Re: Wike Builds Roads, But Abuja Taps Run Dry - Teslim Momoh by Richtaiwo(m): 11:28am On Oct 03, 2025 |
Bellotelli:Before wike became FCT Minister, how were they surviving the water issues? How come it is now that they are seeing the good job being done on road construction that water issue is killing them so much that they can't wait? For now, they should continue with their previous source of water, when it is time, the water will be addressed. Na turn by turn, no Minister can address all FCT problems at the same time. Or better still, they should take their cry to the former Minister who neglected the social amenities including water. |

ComeToJesus:Except for new houses, Abuja is not hellbent on boreholes. I don't know about the suburbs because I've always lived in the metro. There are two very mighty dams but have been underuse by politicians. Wike can make water stable in 3 months. But once it doesn't benefit them, fvck it. |
