Don't try it, Please. You have to do your medicals as soon as you receive your interview letter so that your medical report/result can be sent to the embassy on time before your in-person document review or interview. When you do your medical, it usually takes 7 days or more for the result to be out.. If you go to the interview and your medical is not ready, you will be placed on administrative processing and trust me you wouldn't want to be in that situation. It's unpleasant.

I wasn't in Lagos too when I was going through my own process. I had to travel to Lagos 7 times from Benin for different stages of the process. It a stressful process, you just have to suspend everything else you are doing and travel to Lagos, that's if migrating to America is at the top of your priority list.

These people just intentionally want many people to fail and get the delayed, otherwise they would have specifically painted out what documents are missing at the In-person document review. Like you said, what's the usefulness of it.

I went very prepared, I had my petitioner and my joint sponsor's tax papers up to date. The only problem was that my joint sponsor's own was individual income tax return (form 1040) which is also acceptable in place of IRS transcripts. Now they say they are only going to be accepting the IRS transcripts for the interview. And they never deemed it fit to tell us at the In-person document review..

Now I have to start another game of waiting. This whole thing is just so exhausting even for my petitioner and joint sponsor. I have informed the joint sponsor though and he said the document will be ready in 2 weeks..

What's even more tiring is the fact that I have to travel to Lagos from Benin every damn time and lodging in a hotel, coupled with the risk associated with traveling along Nigerian highways. This interview made it 4 times I have been to Lagos in one month. Even if I want use flight, I go fit use flight to and fro 4 times?

Thanks for this, was the 1040 refused because it wasn’t accompanied with the relevant W2 or they just rejected it outright and requested for the transcript? Cos I’m in a similar boat and nothing was mentioned during the document review.

OIS was just a third party company the US embassy was using to deliver passports, Visa and other documents to applicants. They give DHL your documents and then, DHL gives it to OIS for you to go collect it at their (OIS) office.

But from the picture you uploaded, I can see now that they no longer use OIS. They just go through DHL directly which I think it's better.

The woman did ask for W2 which I didn't have. He told me to go bring W2 and IRS transcript.

She didn't point out she would have pardoned me if I had W2. Who knew, may be she would have overlooked it if I had my W2.

You will receive another email about the in person document review any moment from now. they usually send the email 1 to 2 weeks after the interview letter email

Qlife. That's where I did mine and it was smooth and swift.

Yeah it's Ok for you to do your medical on the 26th of this month since your interview is still over 3 weeks from that day. I think it takes about a week to 2 weeks for the medical result to be out.

That's true. The day we went for our medicals, even people that didn't have appointments were all attended to. We didn't even book appointments when we went to collect our passports at OIS office. Almost all the nearest dates on the appointment calendar were blanked out and we wanted to fly out of naija as quick as possible. We took the risk of being refused to attend to and went to Lagos and when we got there, they didn't even bother to ask if we had appointments or not.

No matter how much they try, but appointment culture in Nigeria is not a thing except maybe at the foreign embassies and few other places.

They do visit oo..no reason am...people wey don trace bank statement from sengal come ABA way back in 90s....na from Walter Carrington to mainland go come be problem? if they have any reason to doubt,they will come around and ask questions in your hood

Congratulations 👏👏

After a successful visa interview, you typically receive your passport with the visa within 7-10 business days. Although in Lagos embassy it could take up to 14 days nowadays.

Okay thank you so much. Ive been able to book Qlife now. Im just waiting for the document review appointment letter.

. Be checking the ois site..be putting your passport number to check when ur passport is ready for pick up.. embassy may not send the email on time
