Lagos was lit up this past weekend as Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center, hosted what many are now calling the largest singles gathering in Lagos — the Singles Connect Conference.

Over 8,500 singles packed the Harvesters International Headquarters, beside grand view hotel ,Ologolo, Lekki.

The atmosphere was electric powerful worship, deep prayers, and real conversations about love, marriage, career, healing, and finding purpose as a single person.

According to many who attended, this wasn’t just another church program.

Testimonies have already started rolling in — from answered prayers about marriage, clarity for relationships, emotional healings

It is well. But these pastors and churches should not take advantage of the desperation on the side of our sisters to get married. The women are always too vulnerable and exposed to extortion by pastors, all in the name of crusade and prayer for husband. The working class and well-to-do among them are the most at risk of being milked. I had seen it couple of times. A young lady in one of the firms I consulted told me how one of the pastors kept demanding for money because he was aware that she was earning well until her senses came back
