I came across the school fees for freshly admitted students in UNILORIN. Is this not getting out of hand? I can remember vividly, this sum isn't upto what students pay for their whole study in the university. In addition, Acceptance fees of 40k has to be paid

Ours was the last set who enjoyed fed universities. GenZs met only remnants. But if you prepared pounded yam in your palm and cooked soup inside a ground nut shell, those who would eat to satisfaction can't be deterred. So,hope isn't lost yet. My 100L fee was 3,895 naira

Sadly, they're busy defending those who destroyed their hope on nairaland, as.if their whole life depends on them.

I think Universities like OAU, FUTA and other 'good' public Universities around thee country still charge around N100,000 or less for tuition.

I hear University of Ilorin has a good reputation for completing their academic programmes within the specified period.

It is possible that is why they feel confident they can charge higher and still attract students willing to pay.

I remember during uni days. I could pay for a federal university student for four years using my pocket money. Life really no balance. No wonder facilities are lacking in these institutions.

Those supporting Dangote is like you supporting Federal Government against union. Now ASUU is putting the burden on families, student and sponsors. Because if they strike over government injustice some will say they like strike a lots. So now people are suffering this high fees now.
