A vast majority of "we" are ignorant to this reality, thus thinking Nigeria's or Africa's problems are solely our politicians. A vast majority of "we" are distracted by brain rots and divided along religious and ethnic lines. Also some of "our leaders" who were genuine pan Africans, who wanted to break free of western powers were murdered by the same western powers all in the bid to make sure Africa remains the continent where the rest of the world extract cheap resources, poor and undeveloped. Think Thomas Sankara, Muhammad Gaddafi, Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba etc.

Then the majority of African leaders are puppets who are put in their positions by western powers and in that case, whoever pays the piper dictates the tune. Africa will never rise until foreign powers lose their influence on the continent. Africa is the only continent in the world that has every resources necessary to sustain full industrial and technological independence. We can match and surpass the levels of America, Europe, China, and that's exactly the reason why foreign powers have us in perpetual bondage. Think about it.

Forget that argument... you wrongly assumed that arabic and Islam were the indigenous language and religion of Qatar and the UAE. No be so it be. Did you know that UK and most of Europe had their indigenous religions before Christianity came. Otherwise, how is a European culture that share similar traits dominating another European culture the same as dominating you in Africa? French and English are cousins. Germans and English are cousins, etc

So, at least there's a relationship. Even if they impose one religion on another, at least it's understandable. They can easily adapt to it because they share similar ice cold philosophy and worldview, unlike our ancestors in tropical Africa.

Having said that, Christianity didn't civilize anyone even in Europe, rather it messed with them big time, ultimately leading to what themselves call "the dark ages" which is a time that they lost all knowledge as a result of being made dumb by religion. Big lies from the pit of hell!, neo-colonialism is a fabricated narrative by African leaders and elites to make ignorant Africans believe that the reason for their underdevelopment is the white man. While they continue to loot the destiny and resources of this continent through a deeply rooted system of corruption.

Over 65 years, Nigeria does not have a single working refinery apart from dangote, after voting billions of dollars into revamping of refineries.

We can't keep blaming colonialism forever. the truth is, something is wrong with Africa somewhere. A full entire continent and nothing to write home about.

Current African leaders are using these stories to kept their people occupied while they continue to loot the national treasure.

I have been saying this forever. Colonialism did us dirty no doubt, but we can't keep blaming it forever. Look at Saudi Arabia UAE etc. alot of African countries got their independence before them. But today they are standing head to head with the West, if not better.

While Africa is busy rolling on the ground and blaming colonialism. But in reality we lack good and visionary leaders. All they care about is their Pocket and power. They don't care about development in their various countries, Africa leaders are too relaxed and just don't care naturally.
That's why there is no development competition in Africa, we only compete about jollof rice, amapiano,Afro beats. While UAE and Saudi are competing on infrastructure.

Something is seriously wrong with our continent... Not just our leaders, it's like a general African mentality. An average black man only cares about his personal interest and his family. And it's that same average black man that ends up as presidents.
