Gbadebo19:People like you are primarily the reason a lot of nairaland users are abandoning the platform. You make it a point of duty to amplify toxicity on a routine basis, killing whatever value one hopes to find herein. You give yourself too much credit and it colours you as an individual with self-esteem issues. |

Before talking about toxicity, you shouldn't have been reckless with your statements when you were following the herd of "Gbadebo didn't graduate.". Chickens come home to roost. |

Russia bombed a civilian train causing civilian casualties. we don't see our in-house human right activist condemning the actions of Moscow They have all pretended they are not aware, if the Jews were to be the ones culpable for such bestial and dastardly acts on civilians the thread would have been filled with genocidal wailings... Russia isn't targeting civilians they said, well I guess this is another villainous act by Loki the brother of Thor. the Norse god of mischief, trickery, and deception. |

I wonder who told them a war with Israel will favour them.. maybe this time they will have sense and understand the world owes them nothing. At the UN the only thing they do is blackmail us with emotional words... How many people even get another offer of a state when they refused previous offers ? |

And See who is lecturing me about toxicity ooo? Yes, I can be toxic but I have also provided intellectual arguments better than any pro Russian on this thread. I am just an all rounder and there's nothing bad about that. Anyhow you bring it, am always at home. If they are counting the top 50 people that have provided insights on this thread, you are nowhere to be found. The semi few ones you made have been classically rebutted as false. |

Obedience40:Ukraine has been bombing passenger trains and bridges inside Russia since this war started. This year alone, Ukraine has bombed trains and rail infrastructure in Bryansk, Kursk, Crimea, Voronezh, and Belgorod, among others. The June 1 train and rail bombing in Bryansk alone killed seven and injured 119. What did you guys say then? Nothing. You even jubilated and mocked Russia for being unable to protect its territory from Ukrainian attacks. So, why are you now complaining about Russia doing what Ukraine has been doing? Precedence is the word you should learn at this point. Precedence. If one side repeatedly does something bad and you do not condemn them, then rest assured that the other side will start to do it too. So, if you refused to condemn Ukraine for bombing civilian trains and rail infrastructure in Russia, what makes you think you have the moral right to condemn Russia doing something similar in Ukraine? Quit playing moralist and enjoy the meal you cooked. Russians are not the only ones who should die in train blasts. |

Allthelight:Isolation is what got them here. On the contrary, they need to get closer to Arab and Middle Eastern countries if they want to exist. Multiple Arab & ME politicians & kings have been assassinated or deposed for just supporting Palestine. Israel’s support for wars in Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Lebanon, are all an attempt to break the pillars of Palestinian resistance. |

shoodboi2:I knew one of the supposed "activists" would try to justify Russia's targeting of civilians.🤣🤣🤣 I never said I was moral mate!! Am not the one screaming genocide all over the thread, You and your clan have been the one crying anytime the Ukrainians or the Jews hits targets and there are civilian casualties.. this has been your modus operandi, cry and wail anytime the Jews or the Ukrainians hits targets in Russia and Gaza while silent when Russia is culpable. Am not the one calling attacks on political leaders and military top brass "terrorist attacks" you are!! All I am trying to bring out is the glaring hypocrisy in the thread. that's all. For emphasis sake!! please stop the emotional outbursts man!! I don't buy those emotional outbursts!! What are you looking for?? A hug!! For the record, Russia has been hitting civilian infrastructure and killing civilians day one of the invasion in Ukraine. The very day the invasion started, Russia has been attacking civilian structures in Ukraine, it was only recently that the Ukrainians started striking targets deep in Russian territory[b], so if anyone is to set any [b]precedents it should you Mr "morality" and "righteous" judge not me.. Ukraine didn't invade Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine wasn't the first to hit civilians' infrastructures Russia did, So please stick your precedence down your ... |

obedience4:Common man! You have been talking about the train attack since yesterday and trying hard to establish a moral stance. I only reminded you of how you have supported Ukraine’s terror acts inside Russia. On my own, I do not support such attacks. But if Ukraine continues to attack civilian trains inside Russia, then you should expect that Russia was going to do the same to Ukraine at some point. As I said earlier: precedence. This is why we condemned the train bombings in Russia as well as the assassination of Russian generals by Ukraine. But you guys laughed it off and mocked Russia for being unable to protect itself. Once Russia assassinated that Ukrainian colonel inside Ukraine, you guys started to complain. And now that Russia has executed a train bombing, you are still complaining. Supporting one side for something and condemning the other side for doing the exact same thing is called hypocrisy. You either support both or you condemn both. There is no middle ground. If you praised Ukraine for attacking trains inside Russia, then you are in no moral position to condemn Russia for attacking trains inside Ukraine. That should be left for a neutral party to do. Let us keep the nonexistent morality out of it. |

Precedence! Precedence!! Precedence!! Hamas invades and attacks Israel, killing hundreds of civilians, also kidnapping dozens more.No condemnation Israel attacks Gaza to free her citizens in captivity, but according to our friends, Israel set the "Precedent" for civilian casualties in Gaza Without provocation, Hazebolla joins the party fires rockets into northern Israel, killing and maiming scores of Israelis.. "No condemnation. Israel retaliate, then attacks Lebanon, but guess what?? according to our "experts" Israel sets the "precedents" for civilians deaths in labenon Yemen, hundreds of miles from the Israeli coast, the Houthis without any form of provocations by the Jews attacks Israel and starts firing ballistic missiles into Israel The Jews are forced to attack back at the Houthis, but guess who stated the "Precedent" for the civilian casualties in Yemen?? The same Jews who were only responding to projectiles fired by the Houthis Russia invaded Ukraine, levelled entire cities, displaced thousands of civilians, forcefully deported thousands of children, systematically, and deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure. took Ukraine sovereign lands and economic assets. Yet one fellow believes that it was the same Ukrainians who set the "Precedent" for the killings and destruction going on in both countries |

Allthelight:I doubt Palestinians or even Hamas think they can “destroy” Israel. All they want is to force Israel to form a Palestinian state (and if that fails, as it has), force the international community to put pressure on Israel to create a Palestinian state. (I actually posted about this in more detail a while back when I talked about what Sinwar said a year or two before October 7.) And talking of isolation, isolation will not end the war. You only think it will because you likely consider Hamas a proxy of Iran. It is a western media thing to declare Hamas as a proxy, and pass its actions as an extension of the Israel-Iran conflict. Such an assessment gives the impression that Hamas is fighting a religious and ideological war with Israel and that the defeat of Iran or a peace deal between Israel and Iran will mean the end of Hamas. It will not. Why? Because Hamas is an active participant in the war and not a proxy. Hamas has shown capacity to fight the war without any foreign military support. It manufactures most of its weapons right inside its tunnels inside Gaza, and does not heavily rely on foreign weapons. The number of videos I have seen of Hamas firing MANPADS and foreign-made anti-tank missiles and rockets in this two-year war is not up to 10. Their arsenal all carry the “Made in Gaza” stamp: From their Yassin 105 anti-tank rocket to their landmines, explosives, rockets, anti-tank missiles, drones, and even torpedoes. All are manufactured in-house right inside Gaza using everyday materials, particularly metal pipes and fertilizers. Many countries don't even have this capability and no amount of isolation will take it away. |

shoodboi2:All this are medicine after death" Like I said I am only trying expose the hypocrisy here, if the majority of you were critical to Russia's invasion and killings of Ukrainian civilians I won't be posting about the train attacks Anything Ukraine has done, Russia did it first, who invaded who and started the war in the first place?? Who started killing civilians first?? Who started attacking economic assets first?? Who started attacking civilian structures first?? Who started attacking targets far behind the front lines first?? Give your answers to the above questions then you will clearly see you are simply displaying a radical form of sanctimoniousness. Any destruction and deaths currently happening in Ukraine and Russia, your "moral" Russia did it first. Thus setting up deadly "precedents" that has now spiralled out of control!! The moment you guys failed to condemn Hamas attacks on Israel and Russia's indiscretions in Ukraine. This set the tone and enabled "us" to do same!! |

obedience4:I usually avoid going down this road with you because I know it always leads to endless back and forth that mostly involves you denying history and refusing to acknowledge everything Israel has done before October 7th, but let me make an exception this time. First: Hamas invades and attacks Israel, killing hundreds of civilians, also kidnapping dozens more.No condemnation Before October 7, Israel had completely blockaded Gaza by land, sea, and air, turning it into the world’s largest open air prison. Before October 7, Israel has been arresting Palestinians and throwing them into prisons for the flimsiest excuses. Before October 7, about half of all Palestinian men have been in Israeli prison at some point of their lives. Before October 7, seventy percent of Palestinian families have one or more family members in Israeli prisons. Before October 7, hundreds of Palestinian kids had been languishing in Israeli prisons. Half of these kids are imprisoned for no offence, while the other half have been charged for flimsy excuses like “throwing stones” and “participating in protests.” That is clearly a precedent. If one side feels it is okay to attack and imprison enemy civilians arbitrarily, then the other side will start to consider the enemy’s civilians as fair game. Arab mothers are not the only ones who should lose children. Israel attacks Gaza to free her citizens in captivity, but according to our friends, Israel set the "Precedent" for civilian casualties in Gaza Israel has always been attacking Gaza. It routinely launches bombing campaigns and ground raids into Gaza, and has conducted major operations involving large-scale ground invasions, artillery, and airstrikes in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and 2023. During those attacks, Israel killed thousands of Palestinians and destroyed thousands of homes. So, Israel did not “attack” Gaza after October 7. Israel has always attacked Gaza. You are also forcefully trying to inject "precedent" here. Israel is the one killing Palestinians in Gaza. So, you cannot say it set a precedent for killing people in Gaza. Without provocation, Hazebolla joins the party fires rockets into northern Israel, killing and maiming scores of Israelis.. "No condemnation. Hezbollah did not join Hamas to fire into “northern Israel” as you claim. Hezbollah waited a whole day before firing into the Israeli positions in the Lebanese-owned Shebaa farms on October 8. Israel fired back and both sides started their own war. There is nothing to condemn here except to tell Israel to return Lebanon’s territory to it. Or did God also promise Shebaa farms to Israel 3000 years ago? Israel is holding onto Lebanon’s land and you expect me to condemn Lebanon? Nope. It won’t happen. Israel should return Shebaa farms to Lebanon. Israel retaliate, then attacks Lebanon, but guess what?? according to our "experts" Israel sets the "precedents" for civilians deaths in labenon Again, you are trying to force “precedents” into the conversation. I know you are trying to justify Israel killing Lebanese civilians. What stopped Israel from attacking Hezbollah? Why does Israel have to turn on Lebanese civilians? Or are you going to say Hezbollah is hiding under Lebanese homes as you all often claim with Hamas? Or do you consider Israel killing Lebanese civilians as “necessary killings” as you do with Palestinians? Israel should focus on Hezbollah and not on civilians. Yemen, hundreds of miles from the Israeli coast, the Houthis without any form of provocations by the Jews attacks Israel and starts firing ballistic missiles into Israel Yemen started bombing Israel after Israel started its ground invasion into Gaza. The US and UK and EU and many Arab countries were already supporting Israel at this point and were sending weapons and surveillance aircraft. So, why is it a problem if the Houthis offer the same help to Palestinians? The Jews are forced to attack back at the Houthis, but guess who stated the "Precedent" for the civilian casualties in Yemen?? The same Jews who were only responding to projectiles fired by the Houthis “The Jews are forced”? Why are you replacing Israelis with Jews? And again, you are trying to justify Israel killing Yemeni civilians. Is there a reason Israel cannot focus on the Houthis instead of going after civilians every time. Fight men like you and leave civilians out of it. Russia invaded Ukraine, levelled entire cities, displaced thousands of civilians, forcefully deported thousands of children, systematically, and deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure. took Ukraine sovereign lands and economic assets. Yet one fellow believes that it was the same Ukrainians who set the "Precedent" for the killings and destruction going on in both countries You are cherry picking again. Talk about everything that happened before Russia entered Ukraine in 2022. Let us start from the Euromaidan protests of 2014 when Ukraine’s neonazi movements like the Right Sector & Azov attacked pro-Russia Ukrainian civilians who protested against Euromaidan. One of the most gory incidents was the Odessa Trade Union house fire of 2014 where pro-EU Ukrainians surrounded their fellow pro-Russia Ukrainians who had camped in the Trade Union house in Odessa and set it on fire. That is clearly a precedent. With that said, I am always willing to talk to you if you are going to talk about what Israel has been doing since before October 7 as well as what Ukraine has been doing before Russia invaded in 2022. If you do not want to talk about history, then I am not interested. We should be factual and not cherry pick. |

Up there is one loonertik writing n0nsense about what Israel did before October 7. Before Israel started those arrests sand blockades, didn't Hamas and other terrorist groups attacked Israel? Did Israel upon its independence just started arresting Palestinians and throwing them into prisons? The precedence starts exactly from who started everything since Israel got its independence. If they had accepted to live peacefully with their neighbours, very likely the matter wouldn't escalate to this point. For reference same, the first war Israel fought after its independence was the 1948 Arab Israel war, the very first year Israel got its independence. There is no need to go into history, everyone knows how it has been going since then. |

obedience4:Don't even mind him. Yes, Ukraine attacks trains and railway infrastructures, but at every single time, those trains were carrying military equipments for delivery to the frontline. I have countless records. It is a blatant lie that those trains were civilian trains. The only exception are about one or two which were carried out by sabotage groups in Russia itself. And by sabotage groups, I mean groups taking up arms against Putin's war, not Ukrainian groups. Ask him for proof that those trains were civilian trains, he will keep mute. |
