I will change the electoral laws, and even digitalize it, we can’t have a good country without sound and fraud proof elections.

Nigeria is a country blessed with talent, resources, and resilience — yet it continues to struggle under the weight of bad leadership, corruption, and poor governance. From unreliable electricity to the rising cost of living, it sometimes feels like every sector is crying out for help.

Now imagine this: you suddenly become the President of Nigeria — but only for one week. You have full control to make key decisions, sign executive orders, and implement reforms. No bureaucracy, no political godfathers — just seven days to make a difference.

What would you fix first?

Would you focus on the economy, to bring down the price of food and fuel?
Would you tackle security, ensuring that citizens can travel freely without fear of bandits or kidnappers?
Or maybe you’d go straight to education, reviving schools, paying teachers well, and making universities work again?

Some Nigerians say they would start by cutting government salaries and reducing the cost of governance. Others believe the first step should be arresting corrupt politicians and recovering looted funds. A few even argue that constitutional reform is the only real solution to Nigeria’s endless cycle of problems.

Whatever your opinion, one thing is clear — most Nigerians know exactly what they want fixed; they just haven’t had the power to do it.

So, let’s hear from you

I have never been against anyone having a separate country neither have I been in support, I only pointed out the fault in your choice.
Now let me get this straight, would you rather prefer someone destroying his own home or someone destroying his home and also destroying yours? The gentle Jack you mentioned is basically stationed in the SE and has not in anyway affected you whike the Fulani I mentioned are gradually encroaching to the SE through Kwara State route.

Nigeria is actually a funny country, their sense of judgement always baffles me. This is how hateful we can be in this country, a country that arrested Kanu who only threatened, but same Nigeria would prefer dialoguing with terrorists that actually carry out both threats and killing. This is strange though.
You want to down play the deaths instigated by Nnamdi Kanu in the South West?!

Kwara State is not a Yoruba State.

Igbos say they want to be left to themselves and I said I will gladly do that for them if I become President but you are still not satisfied.

That's on first day.
Second day I will arrest and jail all the past leaders for being so heartless and wicked.
From 3rd day ideas and advices can start coming in so that we can forge ahead .
By this you have created an entitled workforce. Who will pick dustbin? Labor will become so expensive. Expensive local labor will encourage immigrants to come in and do the work. Thus you have created another problem.
Re: If You Were Nigeria’s President For One Week, What Would You Change First? by Camberlo(m): 2:54pm On Oct 05, 2025
1. Executive order on corruption
2. Sit with German, China and Canada on how to generate 100,000MW of electricity, sign the contract and paid off.
3. Abolish Federal Character Commission
4. Each state to control their resources

Remember these groups of people you have targeted with this policy are the employers of labor. They could be capital flight meaning your economy will suffer.

Mr. President, how do you plan to generate enough power for over 200 million people in your country? Is your grid/ distribution system formidable to handle such load?

I have previously shared my intention to be Nigeria next President... but with regards to the question of what will be done with a one week opportunity in the Presidency office... I would say it is quite a short time to initiate or establish a revived Nigeria...

But here are what would be my initial priority as President of Nigeria...

1. Alleviate the economic hardship on citizens through reversal of some policies... and introducing healthy policies...
2. Ensure every life count... and true justice is served ...
3. Review the security architecture... to meet up with present needs...
4. Reorientation of Nigerians on the values of integrity and true patriotism...
5. Review the energy supply architecture... for better efficiency...

There are more things I have already laid down... but it is better "practicalized" than discussed...

Quality education will create employment. Idleness and hopelessness is the reason for the insecurity we are facing in Nigeria. Years ago, you will travel from Lagos to Maiduguri with your two eyes closed. You will travel anywhere within Nigeria freely.

Fix education and say bye bye to Banditry, Kidnapping, Ritual killings , Fulani herdsmen crisis and many more.

whatever you change outside these will be a complete waste of everybody's time.
Mr. President, I am musing here, does good electoral system bring about good leadership?

Remove the ability of the Inec chairman to be appointed. He will elected by the people. Reduce the amount any politician is entitled to either through salaries, or allowances. Set up a foreing military that oversees corruption of any leader. Make the Supreme Court a rotational body after every 4 years, judges will be voted for by lawyers. Any income in your account exceeding 5million naira will be heavily scrutinized, be you a political office holder or the president of the nation.

If you must be elected or appointed into any office in Nigeria, you’ll have no foreing accounts, no dual citizenship and your family must be living in Nigeria.
