When you hear a crime is committed in a some specific countries, you know the people committing the crimes. South Africa, Ghana, anything Asia, Thailand, India, Indonesia, non English speaking Europe, ati be be lo….you know it’s the developers. If it’s Uk, USA, Canada , it can be any of us. If it is Saudi, you know it’s our people.

That’s the tribal demography of international crime by Nigerians. Northerners generally don’t participate in crime or being a nuiscance and a disgrace to the country abroad. If it is being a nuiscance to their hosts abroad, whatever the country may be..it’s only one tribe.

They are the same people trusted by foreign countries and nationals to trade with. You have no choice. Those from your own end are known to be lazy and live dependent lives. Mostly they depend on the accused for their living. Let me give you examples of what those you accuse do to help you and the entire country:

They sell the phones you use. They sell the TVs you watch. Without them, you would not have heard this news in the first place. They sell all the equipments in your house, including the building materials. You sell your lands to them and turn around to rent apartments from them. They are you landlords in your communities. They sell your cooking utensils. The drugs that sustain you are sold by them. Now my dear friend on Nairaland, how can you not sit back and watch. They say “if you cannot beat them, join them”!

True that. You brilliantly captured the ethnic demographics of crimes committed by specific parts of Nigeria abroad. However, the Northerners are also into crimes such as religious extremism with some joining radical Sunni or Wahabi-inspired jihadi terror groups around the world and having linkages with Hezbollah and Shiite Iran on the other hand. As for drugs, the Northerners are into the local sale and use of Indian hemp, tramadol and more.

The drug trafficking cases that usually occured in Saudi has dropped massively since 2019 due to the stricter implementation of the death penalty. Some of those caught for drugs too have been found to be innocent and were released by the Saudis through the assistance of the Nigerian authorities in recent times.

However like you stated, those SE drug trafficking gangs are largely the only ones who are shamelessly commiting heinous crimes relentlessly in those African and Asian countries you mentioned to the detriment of the image of Nigeria and of innocent people.
