The Airtel X25 pro 5G router works just fine and still transmits at Cat6 speed. Just make sure you pre-configure your User ID and password before connecting and of course remove any SIM card. Also works as an extender when paired to other routers via LAN.
I'm talking about the MTN 5G router bro undecided

The mtn hynetflex router doesn't even need any configuration. Is plug and play

I have had the pictured ZLT router since 2022 and it doesn't work well with Starlink. I have tried it with and without bypass mode and some devices would have internet access, especially those connected via Ethernet, but those connected via WiFi would not. Maybe it's because I am using Gen2 Starlink. I haven't tested it with Gen3 v4 or Mini.

However, I also have the ZTE in my screenshot below. It works very well but it only has one LAN out

Taking the DOD @90% it can power 200w freezer for 9 hours at night.
Seriously?

I thought Lagos is filled? Or you paid 80k?

I just noticed that one of the best router to use alongside starlink mini is that old mtn hynetflex router. .before now I have been having issues on how to use a third party router without activating the starlink mini router bypass mode. .
I have 3 old routers that I bought previously and was about disposing them. I tried two of the old router without bypassing the starlink, they didn't work very well. I even bought an ethernet switch from jumia for 18k, but the switch turned out to be fake and inferior. It didn't work and i Was very angry.
Sometin just told me to try the hynetflex router because I have not tried it with the starlink before. I tested it with the starlink mini, surprisingly it worked very well without activating the starlink bypass mode.
Presently the internet speed of my android tv box alone is around 80Mbps
That switch goes for 44k and you bought it for 18k??

Have you used the Airtel X25 pro 5G with Starlink Gen2? because I have the router and it doesn't work with it. It tells you there is no internet. I have tried it with and without bypass and it's the same thing.

When I bought mine in 2023, it was 18 or 19k. Starlink have since changed it for me.

Also, if you have the new Airtel ZLT router that is bundled with the 5G ODU, it works perfectly with Starlink, and it's WiFi 6, very fast, and has 3 LAN out.

The pics below is the hynetflex router model am using. It was flawless. But I notice it works better and faster with Lan connection than Wifi connection.... It has 6 Lan port

It's actually 4 Lan (yellow) ports. The gray ports are for telephone. Initially, when MTN started selling the device back in 2018, they used to bundle it with a free desktop phone that reads the sim from the router.

Yea. You are right. I bought it years ago. I think I bought it for even less than 8k. I was about throwing it away or giving it put cos I had no use for it again. I really thank my stars for not throwing it away

Did you buy starlink directly from starlink website or through 3rd party?

I think you would have been made to pay for activation fee if bought directly from Starlink and wouldn't be having this issue

For now, Starlink is at full capacity in Lagos and Abuja and not sure they are currently onboarding new customers
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by green10119(m): 6:37pm On Oct 06, 2025
Bought it from the USA, I understand the full capacity issue right now, but can i go to cotonu if that's possible for me then activate it and come back to change the address, will that work?

I am not sure, but I think if you bought it in the US, it needs to be used for at least 90days, that's 3 consecutive subscriptions, or 120days since you purchased it in order for it to be eligible for use in another continent.

The first condition is if you bought it from Starlink website. The second condition typically applies if you bought it from a retailer unactivated.

Starlink installers will fleece you. When really there's absolutely nothing technical about mounting a starlink. Just attach to a pole and mount at the highest point. Best if you have a water tank structure you can leverage or roof access. A dstv installer is who I used. But this was for a gen 2 starlink so I'll let mini users advice.
Thank you. Got it installed.

Look for a welder in your area to make a pole for you. Just give him the pole grip that came with the mini so he can get the diameter. I spent 15k for mine.
Thank you. Got it installed.

Yeah i bought it from a retailer unactivated. I was told i can sub for roaming or under an enterprise account. But both are expensive.
