Since the removal of subsidy, the marketers have been hemorrhaging seriously. Their tank farms are rusting away and they are losing out of business because a superior business model came and expose all their corrupt practices. To make their lives even more miserable, Dangote is opting for last mile delivery down to the filling stations, effectively removing all the middlemen. This is the crux of the matter. The subsidy cabals and marketers are fighting back through the unions.

Dangote is no longer against them joining unions. But the workers must also know that an employer also has the right to move / transfer workers along his businesses, departments or subsidiaries in the interest of the business.

I see that you are open to learning. That is why you are asking. So, I will join:

They are not there to represent Nigerians. They are not your legislators in the House of Representatives or Senate.

3. No, they won't be paid salaries, and they will protest and shut the nation down until the refineries are fixed and they are paid. That is why they are a trade union, sir.

4. Dangote is directly against them joining the unions. That is even the crux of the rift with PENGASSAN. Seems like you are talking about what you don't know anything about.

Where are all those fuleesh demons who were claiming that the FG is fighting Dangote by proxy, hope they can cry their eyes out. They were the same set of people that called Dangote refinery a scam now they wanted to spin the narrative by playing Jacob during the day and Esau with pengassin.

This warning is long overdue!

PENGASSAN and her affiliates are only known for gunboat diplomacy or show of animalistic force similar to what obtains at motorparks (NURTW-like).

They often resort to holding the rest of the country to ransom at the slightest industrial dispute with employers.

This must be resisted by all means possible!

Nigeria cannot afford to live at the mercy of these greedy goons masquerading as union leaders.

The FG must wield the big stick where necessary.

PENGASSAN or whatever union(s) must be told in no unmistakable terms that there's a limited to unionism.

Any further breach of these limits must be visited with maximum sanctions including a NASS-backed proscription including imprisonment.

Thank God, the FG is waking up to its responsibilities.

Unions should be protecting national interest and not bully the government or companies into their individual interests. We need dangote now unlike their inability to manage our oil sector riddled with corruption by their members since the formation of the union.
Afterall there is no law that says that before you work in the oil and gas industry, you must belong to pengassan.

Yes,union leaders have their own faults with some selfish interest sometimes disguised as fighting for the general working class of the petroleum industry,but how would you say Dangote must be protected at all cost?
Without loans he won't have built that refinery in the first place,so saying he would have invested the $10b shows how deficit this man is.
So he thinks Dangote has a free $10b or more he would just go invest in stocks.
What happened when Dangote monopolized the cement industry? Did cement price come down or increase?
Instead of looking at all sides to take a decision that would benefit the entire country,he is already taking a hurried stance,so tomorrow if Dangote acts anyway he wants,nobody would question him
