The rapid rise in Enugu Igr needs to be studied. What’s more baffling is that the state is classified as a civil service state although I heard the governor is making efforts to industrialize the state and make it a tourist destination.

Most the states are just too lazy, unproductive and backward. How can you justify your revenue depends solely on FAAC and not what you work for.

Population, productive and high patronage have a connect with revenue. But except for Lagos others have nothing serious to show. Rivers and Delta did bad. Most state in zone were unnecessarily hyped

Region is natural God's given grouping that our forefather accept as basic for being part of Nigeria while state are military delianation for administrative purpose and means of entrenching Unitary and centralised government.

IGR is about tax. Enugu government is strict on taxation, hence the increase.

You are just displaying high level literacy. IGR is a function of how much a company or individual chooses to pay as tax. It doesn't show who is richer.

Don't be surprised Aliko Dangote does not pay the highest tax in Nigeria.

Keep celebrating what govt is taking away from you. A civil service state can pay higher tax than a business oriented state because their tax is deducted from source and they cant run away from it while a richer business man can dogde tax.,
A big company can also declare losses and avoid tax, it doesnt make them poor

Apart from Enugu, other south east states are not bothering the people with too much taxation. That's the only reason for the low IGR.
