A Nigerian woman has opened up about the messages she received from her ex-husband following her decision to leave an abusive and unfaithful marriage.

The lady, who posts under @binyelum24 on TikTok, revealed that her ex-husband subjected her to emotional abuse and infidelity throughout their relationship. After relocating abroad and ending the marriage, she began receiving messages accusing her of using him for personal gain and abandoning him once she gained independence. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

“You have moved on because you are in UK and that’s the reason for all this. If you are in Nigeria, there is no way you would be saying all these things… You married me to achieve your personal goals and then leave… all you can think now is to leave because you have gotten what you wanted.”[/b]

Sharing her story, the woman recounted that leaving the marriage was the hardest phase of her life, but it ultimately brought her peace and freedom. She used the TikTok post to encourage other women to know their worth and prioritize their safety.

Captioning the video, she wrote:
“POV: You finally summoned courage to leave your abusive and cheating ex-husband. Dealing with a narcissist is the hardest thing anyone could pass through. I thank God I survived and summoned courage to leave in peace and not in pieces. It’s high time women start knowing their worth.”

The video has garnered widespread attention, with many commending her bravery and encouraging other women in abusive relationships to stand up for themselves and seek safety and happiness.
