So are you saying deployment of security is more costly than demolition which will still have to carry security operatives along?
You see yourself, you don't even know that everyday security is very expensive than one-off(1-2 days) demolition with human, heavy duty equipment and material resources.

So how did NAFDAC seal up shops in Aba for weeks if not months successfully?

That is in Igbo land not even Lagos that belongs to the Yorubas...

They got approval from the FG, & have been paying permits to the FG there was no need for a demolition, its pure hatred, done in bad faith. If the intentions of the government was in good faith, it would have been the state asking the federal to remit such payments to the state or ask for certain accruals into the state coffers then clearly communicate to the nigerian citizens. The primary aim of govt is to secure lives & properties of its citizens not Destroy it because of common levies or taxes. Will the funds LASG get from that place be stupendous?
I don't know why this happened. Ragos is no man's rand. So, deveropers should fight for their lights, as Ragos also berongs to them. Abi?

Senator Umeh should know that federal jurisdiction only appears to active federal facilities...like military bases or federal government offices..
Of course he knows, he has also seen Peter Obi's tribalistic populist formula and he is looking to jump on that bandwagon as well.

Why didn't the state government just seal the buildings and ask all owners to go and get approvals from the state before opening the buildings?

so the best solution is to start destroying people's sweat? look at what you people are trying to defend, is the government designed to guide the people or to fight them?

Doesn't this look like vendetta?

I mean they said the people did not get approvals, why not seal the buildings and tell the people to get approvals, you people just like defending evil...
My thoughts too.

Seal the premises until necessary papers/documentations are done. It's the sane thing to do. Not destruction of people's sweat.

I think there is more to these demolitions.

Not on private traders running shops on formal federal sites..

See..lagos is not fighting anyone..it is simply enforcing order...if you benefit from lagos, you must also respect its rule..
In enforcing order, why not seal the premises until necessary approvals are made?

Destroying people's sweats not the answer, and can't be the answer. It's a crime against humanity.

Wahab Tokunbo is overzealous and wicked. He lacks empathy and compassion.

They had ample time to comply, they had time to get approvals, I hope you know some developers did. Those don't have 2 heads do they?
Why justifying illegality. Why not seal the premises until necessary papers/documentations are done?

Why destroying people's sweats and investments at this trying times?

The government has no reason to destroy the properties. It's ungodly and wicked, which lacks empathy and compassion.

LASG could do better!

People like Umeh will always have a say knowing that the current state governor is a man that lacks the ball to ban them from entering the state.

If I am to be the governor, I will seal the Lagos State roads that leads to the market and let them be taking helicopters into the market.

You beat up Lagos State staffs for coming into the market to perform their duty and you believe you will be awarded a medal for doing so?
How old are you?

Your comments suggests you are not very mature.

You support destructions of the properties because some few disgruntled traders chased away officials from the market. Why not seek services of the Police to seal the market until necessary approvals/documentations are made?

Destroying people's sweats at this trying times is heartbreaking. Put yourself in their shoes.

Remember the whole world is watching. Not good for Lagos state Image.

Two wrongs don't make a right. If the traders are wrong in their approach, Lagos state is equally wrong in the destruction of hard earned investments at this trying times.

Those who like to defend evil mated on fellow human being because they are not from your tribe will surely experience such in their life time in one way or the other.
