Hemanwel:
The protest is actually not about corruption; it's about prioritizing spendings. They said they wanted Hospitals and not stadiums.
As it should be in every sane African society

So this thing na family problem. African leaders and misplaced priorities na 5&6. But on a lighter note , the youths should be protesting for shares in slot for the construction of the stadium, let us see if really oil dey thier head. On the contrary, Chinese firms will win at least 80% of the slots.

I thought FIFA provides money to sponsor the hosting tourney
Or am I wrong?

Btw, hosting such huge tournaments provides job opportunities and adds a lot to the country's economy
Please, explain further. We want to learn from your thoughts process about how a government would debit the nation and outsource a project worth over 2 billion dollars for a tournament of 3 months or less, and this would create jobs and a long lasting effect compared to spending the same on education and Healthcare - that wouldn't create job opportunities and add to the country's economy

The crazy thing about this world cup is that the entire USA world cup visa application process is lengthy. After you're done with the application process, the world cup would be over by then. https://futbor.com/blog/what-visa-do-i-need-for-the-2026-fifa-world-cup-usa-visa-requirements-explained

Tribalism in Nigeria will never allow the nigerian youths to replicate this. Yes, there is corruption, hunger and other societal vices and challenges but i tell you, tribalism is the greatest issue to be addressed.

What stops your own region from organizing a protest?
Because they'll be called and branded enemy of Nigeria by your brothers in the SW.

In fact anyone who dares speaks against this govt is automatically branded an enemy and hater of Nigeria.

I am surprised you are asking me this question as if you don't know your people in the SW region fights anyone who opposes, protest or speak against the failure in aso rock

I don't need Google to align with the people of Morocco about their priorities.

Healthcare provides jobs, comfort, a sense of purpose, a sense of belonging, peace of mind and motivation to the young, old and even students.

Education is knowledge, and knowledge is power. These two should truly come first before any massive Stadium.

Since you have Google, go and read about US, UK, China, Singapore, Dubai, and Australia. Please, do so and learn before the next elections. If you don't know where to start, start with China.

To start with how do you that I am from the SW ? I only asked a simple question and you just jumped into conclusions that I am from the SW? Regardless people like Sowore, Ruben Abati who are criticizing Tinubu are they not from the SW? If you are not ready to criticize a government out of fear that people will attack you then stop complaining about the government and stop asking other to do what you a scared of doing. Abi na only you dey fear attack?
