That is why people who build on canal, and people who construct to block roads are a risk to everyone

That estate on tp canal with 10 houses can cause flooding for 1000 people
Are you saying Ikeja was built on canal?
If not why is it always flooded

The flood water does not keep to LGA boundary, the flooding coming from Ikeja might be because of a drainage or canal blacked kilometers away

All those Ikeja GRA, wasnt flooding like that heavily in the 90s.. Even Lagos floods have increased mostly due to human building blocking the natural pathways of water

Are they charging based on local station or just for having a TV set/radiohuh
Nobody knows how the exact amount is arrived at. That is why the few people who pay always negotiate before they do.

I just feel it is local government officials that share the money with their ogas who sit in the office and send them out to go generate revenue

Okay, I get fueling those high end cars na problem and maintaining them sef na work on its own.

Such people are better off selling the cars and collect the ones wey their power reach na.
Beats me bro. Some people buy cars that are clearly more than they can handle. You go dey fear to drive your own car because side mirror na 350k. grin

One of my friends bought one 2023 Lexus like that.. after he bought that car all of us started avoiding him. Why? Because after he bought the car he began to squeeze face back to back, he even reduced weight drastically, it's like he used all his money to buy the car, come dey take out the annoyance on others wey no send am message. Why not get something small and sleek that won't drain you.

Nobody build on any canal in Ikeja egbon. If anybody built on natural water pathway in the state capital, Lagos state government would've pulled the buildings down.

Na accumulated plastic waste dey block the drainages leading to flooding. The reason Ikeja wasn't flooding heavily in the 90's because we don't have people using PET bottles, pure water bags, take away packs and other plastic products that are not friendly to the environment in this large quantity like we do today. It is that simple .

That's why I think the state government got it right placing a ban on some of those plastic products, whether the enforcement will work out is another ball game entirely.

Which day did TV/Radio levy turn to 50,000?

Something that shouldn't be more than 5k per year.

So in the whole of AMAC, there's no SAN that can take this matter up for the people?

Well, may God provide for you all to pay.
When did they start collecting taxes for TV again 😳

This people want to collect taxes like UK but don't want to perform like UK leaders. Watch their sycophant supporters cheer this.

I am not against going to court. But when someone is deliberately doing evil and is still asking you to go to court then you know that there's no hope there.

Lagos state has been on an anti Igbo agenda since 2023 and Sanwo Olu wants to please his master. So no need going to court. Let the demolishing continue. One day, posterity will deliver justice.

That stuff used to be a Local Government tax that doesn't really make sense.

It can be 1k a year sef.

How can it be 50,000? Well, Wike knows that some people will pay it in AMAC

He should go and share 50,000 levy at Abaji or Gwagwalada, and let me see if the LG staff will not be lynched

Omo! shocked

Master Planner promises N230 per Kg in October 2023 and by October 2025 we are buying gas N1,600 per kg(Some people even claimed they bought theirs at a higher price sef). That's almost x7 deviation.

Yet some people would say "Jagaban has stabilized the economy", "the reforms are yielding fruit", "we are on the path to prosperity"

Omo, prosperity must have a new meaning in APC books o.
to be fair, before the disruption, price of gas had been going down slowly and steadily over the months
from 1100 to 1000 to 980

i know because i run my gen on gas so i buy gas every other day

the whole tv license is imported from ibimes Britain

BBC is free because people pay for TV licenses
that is also why ibime dey dodge putting his name on voters register because that identifies him and opens him up to his civic duty

of course in naija today only parents watch nta so it is a scam. especially as i am not even sure any tvs can receive nta without dstv decoders

i always hat any local govt charge because like you said - there is no record. put it online and let us pay direct to govt. that is one of the changes i would love to see Tinubu implement with respect to tax.

make it transparent and eliminate local govt touts

Doc,

My toddler started school last month. This is the 5th week. He's currently has catarrh (which I assume is due to the change of environment, and interaction with other kids). He's active, not running temperature, and is eating okay.

My wife wanted to give catarrh syrup but I insisted she shouldn't that the catarrh will run its course, and go on its own, and it'd help build his immune system. So we resorted to home remedy mixture of honey and lime, which we give 5mls morning and night.

The catarrh has lingered for about a week now. Wetin you advise make we do? and secondly, how does one mitigate the risk of school germs and infections in toddlers?

Additional info - Age is 1 year & 8 months. He was dewormed a month before he began school, preventively treated for malaria and his immunization record is up to date.

There is no anti Ibo agenda
Law abiding Ibos are living peacefully like other ethic groups also law flouting Yoruba Hausa Ibo Efiks etc are punished

No one is above the law and regulations

Federal government doesn't have jurisdiction over local government revenue collection.

Same thing I get whenever my 4yr old daughter resumes.

She must develop cough n catarrh.....a 5ml of COFLIN syrup taken once usually does the magic

Go and watch the interview with open mind. He gave reasons. The cost per kilometer from A to B might be different from B to C due to certain conditions.

Even a jss 2 person know there will be difference in price per km in different topographical region

We need the average sum per km cos our tax is being put into it.

An average amount being spent so far....is this too difficult for an acclaimed "eng professor"to givehuh

So u that watched it...how much was stated in a chosen topography during d discussionhuh

Is like you didn't watch the interview reason I said Umahi schooled him. Umahi said Rufai should be asking of average cost per kilometer not cost per kilometer.
