Truthseeker10:Thoughtful and reflective question I just say. My response is found in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them". Jesus isn't creating sth new. He was born a Jew and died a Jew. He wasn't reckoned to have broken any Jewish law where he was challenged by the elites of his time. In all, his decisions prevailed. He came to unravel the nuances within the same old law that has been blinded by fixed religion adherents as held by the Pharisees of his time.(Matthew 5:20). |

AngelahFlo:Religion definition isn't wrong in what constitutes a religion in the broad sense of taking all religions in the world into account but limited specificaly in scope to Christianity when people take that meaning literally on the surface. I know so many young or even older people I will show that definition of religion and it will limit their scope of what Christianity entails.. How we practice it is much more important than the name we give it.. If Religion works for him and he tries to do right as Christ did ..fine and good. If way of life or Lifestyle works for us and we try to do as Christ did .. fine and good. What we call a way of life, he calls religion based on the English definition. That's OK by me. The koko is he understands the context. Na linguistics, synonym, semantics, etc we dey argue which is a bit irrelevant. We can agree to disagree with him on that. |

chimex38:You have a point there. I actually pointed him to the Sermon on the mount scriptures to let him get an idea of what I mean but he's hell bent on sticking with his view of Christianity. Thanks |

chimex38:You are just being funny. You claimed that religion is worship and great devotion to God. How you are separating your day to day activities and way of life from great devotion and worship to God that makes up your definition of religion makes me wonder if you are truly a Christian. I have asked you severally if there are day to day aspect of our lives that are outside the scope of belief in God and the worship and great devotion to God, but you've been unable to mention any. So I still wonder how your day to day activities can be separated from the obvious religion that you are practicing which is Christianity.

AngelahFlo:Lol...you are funny.....you are the one that is hell bent on your negative view of the word "religion"....if you agree with the definition of the dictionary that I gave you, I wonder how Jesus sermon on the mount teachings would be different from "religion" which is the belief and worship of God. Did Jesus teachings of the sermon on the mount not include what God wants us to do?

chimex38:You have been the one having a narrow view of the word "religion" to mean strictly following a set of rules. James 1:27 below is for your daily activities which it refers to as a religion. King James Bible Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. New International Version Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. |

Truthseeker10:1+1= a) 2 1+1= b) 1 + c) 1 To you: 1+1=a(encompassing)✅ To me: 1+1 = b+ c✅ We can't all use same method. Titus 3:9 |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by Truthseeker10: 6:28pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
chimex38:🤣🤣go and rest oga...tell James that he is wrong for saying that our daily activities of remaining spotless from the world is a religion. |

Truthseeker10:I feel so very sorry for you. All the things Jesus taught at the sermon on the mount are life teachings not grounded in religion. Even your dictionary definition of religion isn't completely true where Christianity is concerned. You're just looking for someone to mock and derail in the name of truth seeking. I feel really sorry for you. Keep holding to your concept of Christianity as a religion and stay there aiight. You can't make me accept that Christianity is a religion when it's more than that. Just don't try. For example where Jesus taught on turning the other cheek, going two miles when you're asked to go one mile to name a few of the teachings of Jesus at the sermon on the mount are not rooted in religion. Thanks for your time anyways |

AngelahFlo:King James Bible Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. What religion was James telling us to practice up there in James 1:26? |

Truthseeker10:😁 I quoted a verse from Jesus Matthew 5:17 you skipped it. (I just noticed I quoted a wrong post of yours to reply to; It was for Christianity ) Anyway, Laws are "likened" to Religion(as existed before Jesus). Jesus Fulfilment is likened to his interpretation of the law which is is shown in his way of life for 3yrs(lifestyle). Vs18-19, he emphasised the importance of the law itself followed to the letter(Religion) Vs 20, he made more difference between righteousness of the Pharisees(Law) and a higher form of righteousness( as shown in his way of life). Like the maths equations😁 Provided your "a" contains "c", no qualms. I only engaged the discuss thinking otherwise; once established, everyother thing is personal ego of "wordly correctness". We agree to disagree 👍 Titus 3:9 |

chimex38:Oga is James wrong for calling your day to day activities of remaining spotless from the world a religion? Yes or no? You are just bent on writing long epistles and being dogmatic about the word "religion". Nothing more. King James Bible Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. |

Truthseeker10:Again in John 14:6 Jesus specifically says: I am the way the truth and the life. Christianity is a way of Life to me. You can embrace James' which is valid as well. I have chosen mine from Jesus quotes and interpretations.. Which ever rocks our boats. I am not forcing you to disown your religion wordly label and won't do that to anyone provided we agree on the more Important content.(a=b+c.... )We agree to disagree 👍 Titus 3:9 |

| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by AngelahFlo(op): 7:47pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:These are outward acts of love which the Lord commands us to do and to keep. They are included in Christianity but it goes beyond that. You see even the heathen practice these things too and give it a name which is philanthropy and outward humility. Keeping oneself pure and being kind to widows and orphans are external acts. True Christianity observes both the external and the internal. James 1:27 not 26 was referring to an outward expression of religion which Christianity is more than. |

Truthseeker10:Lol...keep Skipping my facts and points from horses mouth and cherry picking. You are trying to bait me with James. chimex38:JESUS is the MASTER of James. a=b+c ![]() 2Timothy 2: 14 "Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen". Titus 3:9 But avoid stupid arguments, long lists of ancestors, quarrels, and fights about the Law. They are useless and worthless. We agree to disagree 👍 |

Truthseeker10:Lol.. I actually got educated with the way you super imposed the analogy. I could use that in some other applications. I Iike your tenacity. But you used James words as reference point.. So why don't you use this Meta AI stunt with Christ words as reference. Why skipp them from our NL discuss to Meta? You should rather be trying to invalidate my position on Christianity as a way of life. Anyway no problem.. The last summary is OK on content. But We can agree to disagree on words👍 |

Truthseeker10:Lol.. The onus is on you to disprove. that a≠b+c I quote Jesus words himself and ascribed it as my way of life, that's OK by me. You're free to use dictionary, metaAi, James, etc that connects to your spirit and soul. 2Timothy 2: 14 "Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen". Good Morning. |

Truthseeker10:@bolded never mentioned such claim. Trying to put words in my mouth. Shock ke😁😂 When i was the "inventor" of the equation.. 👇 chimex38:My position was from the Master Jesus himself. 👇 chimex38:I love as you are quoting me out of context, adding and subtracting my words, making me repost again and again. It's a sign of weakness and defeat that the debater has refused to admit. Which isn't bad in itself if you still have thoughtful points to layout. I like as you've been dodging quotes from JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF by sending me to man-made Meta AI ![]() waiting for you to come up with sth I can learn from or denounce my stand.. Disappointed, you are the one being close-minded. just using man-made dictionary that changes with time as events unfold and feeding my words to robots to help your defeated ministry. YOU HAVE NO POWER TO CHALLENGE THE WORDS OF THE MASTER JESUS CHRIST WHEN ITS THROWN AT YOU. YOU JUST PROVED IT. ![]() WHO IS META AI? EVEN APOSTLE JAMES WILL BOW? philippines 2:10 WHO THEN ARE YOU? so i ain't surprised, just catching cruise just as you probably are.. |
