Well, nothing should concern Igbos with such events because of our wide cultural dicotomy. However, there are some points where we intersect or go apart. Some words are used colloquially to pass a message e.g Omo nna or Okoro as Yorubas often called the Igbos is not new. Same with owambe.

This will now widen the gulf some more. Handshake across the Niger should not go beyond an handshake please. The country ought to be united but alas, unity means a lot to many of us. However let the gulf continue to widen. Let see where it leads to.

If someone leaves hiis own culture and starts promoting another man's culture, doesn't that make the person foolish?

Some people don't read the room. As an Igbo man, stay off Yoruba culture. The only business you have with them is to do business with them.
Re: Oba Of Lagos Bans Igbo Appropriation Of Yoruba Culture Event by Nobody:
The Sanwo-Olu administration will always be remembered for the ethnic division he caused in Lagos.

Now we also have a 3rd class Oba talking about cultural misrepresentations.

It’s a really a sad time in history and I hope it is being documented by historians.

Never a time in the history of Lagos state as the Lagos state government pioneered hate and division among ethnic tribes.

The Oba of Lagos jump into the Lagoon threat is not in anyway different from MC Oluomo and current NURTW Chair - Sego threat. So let them continue. Posterity is the mother of all karma.

Nice one from Oba of Lagos. Say no to culture vulture.
Njoku should go and promote her father's culture in her region.

Tinubu's daughter went to Benin to change the culture of Benin people by installing Iya oloja. Heaven did not fall. Just a misspell of Owanbe to Owambe, my Yoruba landlords of Lagos took it personal because it's an Igbo woman involved.

It is well o!!

Tell Njoku to hire the Lagosians that just protested today to help her out.

Meanwhile, Iyaloja general didn't change anything in Benin, she only announced Iyaloja of Edo State in accordance with her office.

I always say the truth when I have to. Why they call me Igbo when I detest the fascist administration in Lagos state, and Yoruba when I support His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR).

Most people are not just dynamic. They are permanently on the hate side. Even when it’s affecting them, they are at peace with it, if it’s affecting their enemies.

Lagosians are the replica of MAGA in the US.

Talk about the state IGR, debt and massive FG allocation with nothing to show for it. They will tell you to go back to Anambra

Point to the dilapidating public primary and tertiary institutions, they will tell you to go back to Abia

Show them the eye sore state of healthcare facilities around the state and they tell you to go to Imo

Complain about the societal menace called Agbero and how activities is a threat to sanity and security, they tell you to go to Enugu.

The simplest is that, Ask them why a state like Lagos despite its enormous wealth does not have pipe borne water, they will ask you if they are complaining.

I have never seen programmed lots in huge numbers like we have in Lagos

Yes yeeesss 🤗

Let the hate and bile rise up and consume all of them RoNu loyalists cool

How can you single out just one ethnic group (out of over 100 in Lagos) to ban their celebrations and you feel the entire world won't see through your tirade 😏

We have always known that the 'one Nigeria' is a huge giant scam of the millennium. We need others who haven't come to that conclusion yet to do so with immediate effect grin

I thank my Yoruba brothers for helping to open the eyes of the sleeping populace to the reality staring at us as a 'forced' so called, nation 😌
Re: Oba Of Lagos Bans Igbo Appropriation Of Yoruba Culture Event by UkoAnnang(m): 8:27pm On Oct 07, 2025
cheesy

the Oba of Lagos has finally join the NURTW Lagos branch where hatred for Igbos grows and natured

Anyways, it's none of my business

I'm a traditional Annang man, Igbos don't like me either but I love them regardless
