Nairaland mods need to do better. The Oba didnt ban the event. Some people cannot just read to understand. He forwarded a letter sent to him to theLagos State Commisioner of Tourism to take appropriate action.

That said, you must understand that not everybody plays tribal cards. Some of us just don't bother with ethnic coloration.

You should look at it this way..., who are the people that voted Labour to win Lagos in the Presidential election? You should know it's our fellow yoruba's, unless you want to say the Igbo's are more than the Yoruba's in Lagos. Just pause and reflect on it.

Now we also have a 3rd class Oba talking about cultural misrepresentations.

It’s a really a sad time in history and I hope it is being documented by historians.

Never a time in the history of Lagos state as the Lagos state government pioneered hate and division among ethnic tribes.

The hatred and divisive tendencies of this government and the Oba is unprecedented. There are ways to address an issue if you feel misrepresented but to promote division and hate for political reasoning, I just dont understand. In 2025, as a country, if we still divisive as this, then the hope of better Nigeria is but just a dream.
