Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church in Avon Park, Florida, placed 1,200 ISRAELI FLAGS around the church on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 in remembrance and to honor those that were murdered on October 7th, 2023. Our prayers are with ISRAEL and all of the families affected by this tragedy.

October 7: The Day the Illusion Shattered Until October 7, we felt safe — confident in our army, proud of our modern, Western identity. We thought we had built a villa in the jungle — Sweden with a Star of David. We believed the horrors of the past were black-and-white history, far removed from our colorful present. Antisemitism, we told ourselves, was for Jews of the past — not for ISRAELIS of today. Then came the EARTHQUAKE of October 7 — a massacre that shattered every illusion. In one day, the foundations we trusted crumbled. We realized that hatred of the Jewish people is not about politics, nor borders, nor Gaza. It is ancient, spiritual, and unrelenting. The great Zionist dream — meant to free us from exile — was suddenly tested in ways we thought were gone forever. And yet, out of the horror, something began to stir. The return to Jewish identity is no longer a matter of religion — it has become our culture. A deep current is awakening across Israel: from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, synagogues are full, hearts are searching, and a new Israeli consciousness is forming — one that refuses to separate faith from life, strength from spirit. Hamas murdered Adi Vital in front of her babies. They filmed a propaganda video w/ the kids in the same room where Adi’s dead corpse lay.
