Chai! I said use Google or refer to Umahi previous interview with Arise TV

Watch Umahi here running his figure on the same Arise TV. Start watching from the 15 minutes. He said everything there. I wonder what you want him to do again.

Sometimes I wonder if u read or ponder long enough on some of these things u post before posting them.

So because Umahi may have answered the questions in the past, he shouldn't answer same in the interview yesterday?

Do you have any real life exposure? Do you know that for some jobs you will be required to undergo at least 4 levels of panel interview and for each of the interview stages they will ask you the same generic question: " can we meet you?" or"tell us about yourself".

Will you suddenly fly out of your handle at the 3rd stage of interview that why are they asking you a question you've already answered in your previous interview?

In case you don't know, Umahi is a public servant whose current lifestyle is being financed by my tax and yours ( that is if you are paying tax). He owes us answers and that's why he's on Arise TV to give account of what his ministry has been doing with our tax. The question posed to him is a valid one and he should answer without any drama. He could as well have stayed in his ministry and refuse to speak to media so we will know they intend to spend our commonwealth without being accountable to anyone. Maybe that will make u happy Sha, since Rufai the interviewer is Ur own problem.

What question did they post to him?

Oh, and also tell us the difference between Media interview and Job interview?

[color=royalblue] Nigeria really messed this Nnamdi Kanu's case up.

I am not surprised that elected officers are now conducting protests for him. It won't be long before the entire elected and selected SE officials show him support.

You accuse someone of terrorism and locked him up, with no sign of conviction. Another region has the same set of terrorists, and they are offered money, Peace deals and Chieftaincy titles.

I should tell you the difference between job interview and media interview. So when I do, what will you do with the information? You will claim they are diffrent right? Then you will proceed to veer off the topic and be arguing about obscenities that has nothing to do with the matter being discussed?

A sensible person who knows he has rights knows that a serving who takes himself to media station will be faced with questions around contentious issus like the coastal road project and he's expected to answer those questions as best as he can.

The minister is overseeing the biggest single capital project in Nigeria's history till date and he's getting angry over the political leaning of the journalist interviewing him when he should be selling the project to as many people as possible who are still not convinced the project is what we need now. Here you are suggesting if is okay for the minister to form performatory outrage instead of answering the journalist's question.

With people like you constituting majority of our population, we will always get the short end of the stick in this country.

It will be so easy to forge certificates in the 70s and 80s because the technology wasn't there and what they have are papers trail record.

You are just writing long. Watch the whole interview and it will save you all these plenty write up.

I asked you what question did they ask him and you couldn't answer.

Lemme help you. As a public servant, Umahi appeared on Arise Tv with his plans and did a comprehensive breakdown of the coastal project. He ran his figures comprehensively to the public. On that interview he gave cost per kilometer.

On the second interview, same Rufai is asking him cost per kilometer, he explained very well and ask Rufai to refer to the first interview where he ran his figures.

1. So, tell me the question they post to him and he didn't answer.

2. Tell me what dramatic about this.

Nnaji, a 62-year-old Enugu-born entrepreneur and CEO of the software firm Parthian Partners, was thrust into the spotlight as part of Tinubu’s sweeping cabinet reshuffle following his May 2023 inauguration. Touted as a tech visionary with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and a completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) stint, Nnaji breezed through Senate confirmation hearings on August 27, 2023. He dazzled lawmakers with promises of digital innovation, securing a nod for the newly carved Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology.

These ones don collect stray bullet. All evidence of his being there has been scrubbed from the site

I am wondering if there is another Parthian Partners
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by monerozi5590: 7:31am On Oct 08, 2025
Just to be clear, you can tell the average cost per kilometer of the coastal project until the project is completed.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by monerozi5590: 7:50am On Oct 08, 2025
In Mathematics there's what we call Estimation. It has two parts. Rounding up or rounding down. It is as approximated value and not true value. You use estimated value to plan the budget of a project.

The minister came on air and ran his figures based on estimated value. I watched the breakdown and he did an excellent job there.

On the same Arise TV, Umahi said this cost per kilometer is not constant throughout but there will be variations due to certain conditions and average cost per kilometer should be the right question.

I doubt there was much forgery of credentials in the 70's and 80's. The technology wasn't available in the country then.

The minister's Bachelor and NYSC discharge certificates were forged recently, and backdated to his chosen dates.

Much easier then as it was likely via printing press and hand signed documents

Just need the same template and you are good to go.

Maybe because you are not based in Lagos. Have you heard about the infamous Oluwole on Lagos Island? Oluwole is not a myth, if you want any forged document, Oluwole boys would produce it for you.

I think the place was demolished sometimes around 2007. (Not like that has stopped boys who still market forged documents from hanging around there till date). It was the advent of technology that really spoilt the forgery market.

https://www.nairaland.com/6841834/how-technology-destroyed-place-called.

I had a coursemate in 100L who was very good in graphics. He once confided in me that the number of forged documents he had done for people long before he gained admission was so much he can't remember. He dsigned checks for yahoo boys and also produces any university degree certificate for anyone who needs it.

I was shocked and thought he was just trying to impress me with cocck and bull story. I asked him how he will forge documents like WAEC certificate that has that shiny hologram that needs to pass mercury light test before it can be confirmed as genuine. Do you know what he told me? He said that shiny hologram is the cheapest thing to get for him; he said the shiny hologram was sold for N100 at Oju-irin at Mushin. (Anybody in Lagos knows Mushin raliway crossing and Palmgrove are the hub of printing press in Lagos). Since that day, I no dey doubt say people dey work with forged documents even in big organization.

If you say so but I was just thinking that it was the advent of computers and graphic design softwares that really made Oluwole and forgery of documents bloom, and in the 70's and 80's, computers no dey Naija like that.

All research projects of that period were typewritten, and there would have been limitations to the documents typewriters and printing presses could have churned out.

Newspapers, publishers and some private individuals had printing machines used for commercial printing. Some of those machines in the hands of unscrupulous individuals led to advent of forged documents. They made those forged documents looked exactly like originals when subjected to "eye-test".

It is the advent of special and exclusive software as well as forensic auditing of documents that tackled forgery a bit in modern times.

Computers introduced infinite variations and hidden watermarks in documents. Before computers the format of your document was limited.

As an example in architecture you would do max two designs after which you were locked in. Today you can do 10 designs for the client. You would print on a specific type of paper with a specific machine.

These limitations to formatting and printing made forgery easier and harder to detect.

A lot of documents today have hidden watermarks and other features direct from the software

As an example, I read that you cannot photocopy a dollar - this is a hardware level restriction on printers.

IMHO it is the advent of computers that has led to lack of competence in forgeries. Because it is now being done by amateurs without actual knowledge of the internal processes

You have the tools but you don't have the knowledge.

A competent forger is well - competent.

Baba, I be Lagos boi. I had all my education in Lagos, and grew up there. I have lived in Abule-Oja, Bariga, Iwaya, Ketu, Akoka, Oworonshoki, Shomolu, Fadeyi, Ogudu at different points in my life, and I only relocated to the East in the last decade for work. So, Oluwole was my backyard and I sabi am wella.

That being said, I am harping on the difficulty of forging documents in the 70's and 80's because of the unavailability of the technology, and technical knowhow to do so then.

Your post inadvertently confirms it cos your experience with your graphic designer colleague was in your 100L which I would put within the timeframe of the last decade.

Na when Computers begin dey rampant for Naija, Oluwole and forgery begin dey thrive, and this was definitely not in the 70's and 80's.

No doubt people have forged documents bearing the dates of that period, but if you check wella, most of those documents were procured from the mid 90's upwards.

@Semid4lyfe I think this post captured what I was trying to say.

You may be right that Oluwole got more popular in the 90's , but people had been forging documents long before then. Like GloriousGbola rightly put it : "The limitations to formatting and printing made forgery easy to carry out, but harder to detect in those days. . Forged documents looked similar to genuine ones.

For example, this Nnaji case showed Nnaji's certificates followed the same formatting as the rest of his course mates and NYSC set. His undoing were minor issues like the forger mistakenly inputting 13 months period as his NYSC year. Also, the person who signed his certificate was not yet the DG of NYSC when he claimed to have served. No be say na formatting of the document cast am o.

Over the bar!

Even primary school student for Lagos back then don hear about Oluwole. Experts in forging. People with artistic talent wey don get template of almost every document known to man.

The difficulty is not in the forging process. The difficulty is in escaping detection. In a pre-computer world it was quite easy to escape detection by human eyes.

Stop defending their nonsense.

A contract that didn't even go through due process? Even an ordinary EIA was not done before award.

Who did the estimates? The contractor or the minister? That is why they are reluctant to release the official figures of average cost per KM.

I read People gazette's report on fornt page and their report suggests some forces within DSS suppressed the findings on the forgery.

Apparently NYSC confirmed his certificate was not genuine but DSS went ahead to clear him. So we might not just be talking about forgery here but also case of bribery because that's the only reason I can think for clearing him knowing what they know (allegedly)
