Residents have expressed deep frustration after a flood hit Nise Road in Amawbia, Anambra State, sweeping away the newly constructed road built under Governor Charles Soludo’s administration.

The road, which was recently completed, was washed away following heavy rainfall earlier today.

Soludo is a disaster in Anambra state. Man is lucky there's no viable opposition to challenge him.

Yet they can only ever focus on flooding in "terrible and smelly" Lagos. No further comment lol.

That section of the road is flood prone area, and the contractors have not tarred the place.

Face the one in your front first and try not to deflect or distract.

People that are smarter than you always avoid threads like this.

Follow their path.

Substandard roads, low quality materials, lack of maintenance culture, lack of professional to construct roads, the list is endless. This is Nigeria, my country where nobody ( politicians ) cares. They make money here, and their families enjoy the monies abroad, while we suffer root. God help us

There should always be insurance on every new roads constructed such that when roads are poorly constructed and washed away, insurance companies will pay for damages.

I don't know why Soludo loves using unknown contractors to execute public projects? Most of his projects and either shoddy or poorly executed, is it because of money to use tested contractors or is it his penchant to be economical thereby rendering poor service at the end? undecided huh

Apart from AG Vision, FCC, and GELD the other companies he uses are nothing short of shovel and hammer contractors angry huh

Why blame the governor?

It's obvious the contractors haven't tarred the road yet. The contractors should take the blame and responsibility delaying to tarred the road but again it obvious they wanted it to dried up first

Soludo should learn to award contracts to serious and eligible contractors, not roadside contractors

You're constructing roads with no drainage system , that means you're inviting flood to use the road

Re: Flood Destroys Soludo’s Newly Built Road In Anambra — Residents Lament (Photos/v by ElevationD: 10:00am On Oct 08, 2025
Very wrong information. Which road was washed away? That fellow who posted that video sent false narratives. He must be one of those opposed to the governor and a spoiler. The video posted did not show any destroyed road, but a flooded road. At this period, Anambra and Delta states are heavily exposed to flooding, largely because of the rivers. Go and look at that same road today after that flooding and you will find it intact.

Flooding is a worldwide problem. It is nature and there’s not much that can be done about it, otherwise developed countries would not be facing it by now.

That road was well built and no deception about it. All roads constructed by Soludo’s administration are solidly made and easily verifiable.

Even that video shows us the drainages. They were overwhelmed by the heavy rains and floods that followed. When it floods, cars and houses are affected. That fellow should be told to stop embarrassing himself with his video.

How did you look at the road and avoid looking at the drainage from the picture copied and pasted by your very own self?
