But Islam was founded in 610 CE, about 700 years after this synagogue was built and in use.

So who is the original inhabitant of Golan, the Jews or the Muslims?

For instance, it beats my mind that anybody in the world would want to divide Jerusalem and deny the Jews access to some parts of the holy city, in order to please some Arabs.

If you have land that God Himself specially blessed with a covenant and gave to your forefathers, you would not be saying this. You think Mecca is special to the Saudis for nothing?
Same way Jerusalem is more special to Israelis and Jews

The discovery of this synagogue only establishes the presence of the Jewish settlement in the area which has never been in doubt.

It doesn't establish or pinpoint the Jews as the original occupiers of the land.
