Most Nigerians flog their kids, even those as young as 3 years old. Because of the firm belief that 'it engenders discipline'. Many Nigerians carry that attitude abroad, where they get into trobule

And then there are those who come here to justify a man beating up his wife. Yeah, and people beating up NEPA workers, and soldiers beating up people we have issues with and so forth.

What did you expect...

Yeah teacher should be punished, but nothing is going to change.,,untul we change ourselves.

Yes I understand that but commonsense should teach sane adult this child is too young, physically, for this sort of punishment.

I understand discipline is good but an adult should know a child that young and that little could be seriously hurt by such punishment.

Personally, I think a lot of Nigerians carry around too much anger and rage than is healthy.

Please Sir/Ma, that you were not sent to school as early as you were supposed does not mean you should normalize it.

As a matter of fact, Academic Education starts when you are 2 years old as you are taught from this age, how to identify and sound hence it is very important children are enrolled into school at the right and appropriate timing to help the child get well equipped academically.

Let me use this opportunity to advise parents and prospective parents, please allow your child do two academic sessions in Pre-Nursery and I tell you; you would not regret it. This is the building stage of your child's academic life and should not be rushed due to financial obligations. I have seen it all, how pupils struggle because they lack the proper academic foundation.

Regardless of how standard that school is, allow them do two sessions in the Pre-Nursery if you really want to help your child academically.

And as for the teacher that did this rubbish, his or her license should be seized and he or she should serve jail term.
I can't imagine how that of his or her children will be if she has one because this one will always transfer aggression on children whenever and however she can.

As for the school authority that gave room for this; they took should be prosecuted.

A school can expel a child or invite the parent ..no sane teacher should punish a child like that. Too cruel ! ..🤔

As a teachér, the frustration of teaching kids who compound the great family and financial problems u r facing is undescribable but going to d extent of causing bodily harm to a 3 year old shows its not ur calling. Na unemployment and hunger drive u there

The child is too young and not physically fit to take such flogging. Don't you get that? Like many said, this is frustration-driven transferred aggression.

I was caned in secondary school in Lagos but teachers did it properly. They would tell you that you will recieve 6 strokes of the cane and tell you to stretch out your hand.

They don't flog you indiscriminately across every part of your body.
