Inside their apartment at the barracks, an argument started between Lt. Haruna and his wife. Some reports say the fight began because his wife found messages on his phone — messages she believed came from another woman.

Voices were raised… tempers flared… and then, in one dark moment — she snapped. According to reports, Mrs. Haruna grabbed a can of petrol, poured it on her husband… and struck a match. A military officer run from a woman? Impossican't!

I don't think that petrol was poured in the course of the arguement because the man would have been prepared for any eventuality. Probably when he was sleeping

I want to disagree with you that your wife can not physically call you.

Human life can be very fragile, for centuries women have continued to destroy men, not just any man, but strong and powerful men.

Don't judge him yet, the woman could've lock their door and hide the keys then proceeded with the crime. The man might have attempted to ran away but the murderer had secured the passage way.

We have a problem in our society of ignoring couples when they fight and only step in when something tragic has happened.

Most times people don't like intervening or takes sides so that they won't end up being used for settlement so many have such bad experiences that's why they prefer to stay away hoping the couples can eventually settle the issues themselves. It's even better for warring couples to take their issues to marriage counsellors, religious leaders or elders in their families than neighbours.

Another Samson...killed by a woman. By the way, the part of she pouring petrol on him and setting him on fire is not clear to me. As in, was he hypnotized while she was doing all of that? Pouring petrol and striking a match or lighter cannot be done in a single swoop. If this was what happened, he had ample time to react and defuse the situation.
