You sack all Nigerian Engineers in a single day with the term "sabotage". The company cannot still explain the type of sabotage and how it involves all the Nigerian nations. Some of you make all this comments because of political affiliations. I have friends there with family that are greatly affected by this without even knowing the crime the committed. Some of them did not even join the union, but they were sacked.

"We cannot sabotage the refinery. We love the refinery. Some of us built it from the beginning. How can we sabotage what we built? It is not possible. We’ve been very committed, and we were doing everything to ensure the success of the plant for the good of all Nigerians." So you want Dangote to risk his investment to go down simply BCS your friend and his family need to survive on his company? Why are you poeple reason like this? Dangotes must get incomes for him to pay his workers. Dangote is not NNPC that always gets funds from government upon non productivity of the NNPC. Oga You can establish your own company and employ based on your sentimental feelings for him and others. If you establish your own company allow your staffs to join unions that will not allow you to have control over your workers and see how successful your company will be.

Up till now, the Dangote Refinery has not told Nigerians the 'sabotage' 800 Nigerians did. If people want to commit such a criminal act, why would they need up to 800 people? These guys are just been victimized and unfortunately even the custodians of the Nigerian laws have shoved them aside.

It was stated that Indian nationals were the only ones operating the refinery at the moment, as all Nigerian engineers were sent away for joining the union. “At the moment, only Indians are running the refinery. All Nigerian engineers were sacked because we joined PENGASSAN,“ they alleged.

The employees sacked had been employed around 2021 to 2022 and sent abroad for training ..
this slip is not for them…
Hope u know Dangote payed them salaries while studying and also sponsored them abroad

Greedy fellow like most Nigerians. Someone borrowed money to build something that pengassan and the federal government could not build in forty years. People now want to destroy the factory because of greed.
I wonder why Dangote has not sacked all Nigerian engineers there and replace them with other nationalities with better work ethics

They also has d right to join union,how I wish d new set he employs also join union let see if he will continue to sack & sack.I use to support the refinery action but when I saw that guy payslip my blood come they boil...for this Tinubueconomy fa!

Dangote will not win this.
No one can fight the constitution and win.

Unlike what the vice president ignorantly said, Dangote is an individual, not an institution. His organization is an institution that must abide by the laws of the country.

It is clear: no one can be victimized for their enshrined right to associate and be a part of any lawful group they so wish to. That is why it is good to listen to your lawyer if you employ one rather than teach the lawyer when you employ them.

If he has not been magnanimous enough by employing Nigerians and paying them well (which has been used to teach him a lesson by their recent behavior), I don't know what else you want him to do.

You want to control how he runs his refinery through the back door at all cost? No way.

He's actually a very smart investor and the recent events has made him wiser.

I am not even a northerner or from his part of the country. But, for crying out loud, Dangote is one of the few people that has brought real industrialization and development to this country and a responsible employer of labour. Yet, all you want is to shut down!

What is bad is bad.

Just the disruption caused by that singular act is already telling on Nigerians in terms of availability of cooking gas. Many homes aren't able to cook for their children and families, even those in the business of restaurants are having it difficult to operate! But that's not a lesson for you.

Dangote himself came to the media and praised them to be better staffs than the Indians, how comes they became saboteurs few days later.

Stop reacting sentimentally . The priority of a company is to make proffits and remain in the business . Staffs are like parasite if they failed to comply with rule and regulations that gives them opportunity to serve . They joint the unions not for the organizational Success but for their own personal interest . Are you now saying Dangote should Risk his company and investment BCS of his Staffs that can leave the company at anytime to pursue their personal ambition without looking back what will be of the company . Oga private companies are not established to just greate employment for the staff satisfactions but to remain in business and make proffits. It is far far Good and better for a company to lose her staffs than to lose itself in the name of Staffs wellfair that can never be achieved.

The affected workers have suddenly come to the sad and stark realization that they have been tricked by PENGASSAN and have now been left in the lurch.

I would advise them to seek employment with PENGASSAN or NUPENG, if they so wish.

They forgot that they became petrochemical engineers, in the first place, courtesy of the large-heartedness of Dangote who they sought to sabotage due to bad advice and mindless greed.

The proverb that says "a bird in hand is worth two in the bush" is now staring them in the face.

They should be contented and thankful that they are still receiving their salaries as we speak.

They are now at the mercy of Dangote in deciding what lies ahead for them.
