But they can still embrace their cultures... In fact, my favorite Nigerian movie is from Northern Nigerian... It's called war: wrath and revenge.

They make great political and action movies... I like their Hausa language as well.
SmartPolician:
People from northern Nigeria are predominantly Muslims who are conservative and have had struggles with embracing western education. Kebbi is one of them. Nigeria should be a continent, not a country. The cultural and religious diversities are huge.

Heffalump:
That's the problem of being a foreigner in a local forum. Kebbi is a Northwestern state in Nigeria.

A state without anything to contribute, resource wise, intelligence wise, business wise, education wise, and even relationship wise, usually stays quiet.

Lagos is known for its entertainment, Delta for its oil, Zamfara for its capital city of Nigeria, and Borno for Boko Haram... grin grin grin

That's good to know, but keeping northern Nigeria and southern Nigeria in one country has been a huge challenge because those two diverse regions have different ideals and define progress differently.

While the South is open to innovation, living abroad in search of greener pastures, birth control and Western education, the north is conservative around those key issues. The northern governors would rather expend all their resources funding trips to Mecca and building new mosques. This is dragging the country backwards.

Nigeria, which is considered a British experiment, shouldn't have happened. The problem now is that the vested interests benefiting from the dysfunctional system will give up anything to see to it that we don't unanimously balkanize it.
