If not for corruption...Why will eight years in govt service qualify them for this type of wicked payment.....people that are no longer of benefit to state...
..... they are government workers like every other Goverment worker that are pensionable after 35 years ..none of them should receive any pension for spending 8 years in office...

They wnat me to pay more tax so as to fund these life style. Look Nigeria, I will not pay. I will rather leave the country than pay 20 to 25 percent of my sweat online to Nigeria. The VATs, the bank charges, the import taxes, the fuel tax, are enough for them. I cant work and feed the families and staff of politicians. On top what?

This is the rapacious template set as law in Nigeria.

However, this is not limited to Lagos State alone.

It's a common feature amongst State Governors in the country.

They, working in concert with their legislature, incert these bogus benefits as law for themselves and their family members as parting gifts.

Not until these criminal benefits are expunged from the the laws of the States, they would continue to dip their hands in the cookie jar.

It shows how politics is a most lucrative business one can venture into.

Wonder why it's a do or die when it's time for elections?

He is a former Governor there qualify for every accrue benefits, just as GEJ served just 6 years rather than 8 years as president.

Okay, so in one breathe, you readily believe that they earn all these as PENSIOn, but you act ignorant in a bid to criticise them when they buy something, stating that how much does politician make. We all know what we are doing and are not ready for hard truths.

What people do not know is that it was tinubu in 2003 that copied the presidential retirement package and insert it inside the Lagos state laws using the state house of assembly. Theoretically, tinubu was the first governor in the history of Nigeria to sign into law life pension for ex Governor. Immediately tunubu passed that law, which led to other state Governor state copying it.

Till today, despite tinubu being a president, he still enjoy all the pension and benefits.

Ex rulers shouldn't get more than what the civil servants get at retirement..anything more is abuse of powers.
