the big problem in nigeria is when you bypass a standard and nothing happens you as an uneducated person - start to look at it as mere english. matters are made worse because you will always find someone who will bypass standard for you

rule of thumb basically you should leave the concrete to cure for at least a week before you let it enter service

we have had this issue as well in stations where people cast forecourt and don't allow it to properly cure before they start driving on it.

so the concrete starts to fail

we have cast some structures for CCECC who are priks but enforce standards

after casting the structure remains for months

Definitely Ibadan has more land mass and more population than some states, So if those should be states, why cant Ibadan be a state

Reminds me of a clip of Pastor Sam Adeyemi that I saw on TikTok.

He said he was teaching in church one day, and made an assertion that the eagle is the highest flying bird in the world. (That was what he was taught by his mentor/spiritual father, and had heard for at least 30 years in Ministry, so he took it as a fact, and never questioned it).

The next day, Pastor Nike (his wife) got a text message from a young church member saying, "I know I don't have the right to correct pastor but he said something yesterday that the eagle is the highest flying bird in the world. That statement is not correct "

As his wife was reading the text message to him, he was checking on google, and lo and behold, the eagle was not even in the top 10 highest flying birds.

I will categorize the Rep member's statement like that of Pastor Adeyemi on the Eagle. He was simply regurgitating what he had heard over the years without any thought that it could be wrong.

Also, he didn't need to compare Ibadan to the S/East and Bayelsa to make his point. That was tactless.

Actually what is called Ibadan can be more than that when you consider the surrounding areas too the suburbs and the villages. to Almost 6000.

At 6000 sqkm its surely larger than some states outside Lagos

Or using your colleagues paystub to your boss as evidence that you are overpaid
