I learnt the oldest is 31 years. Shows you how the country has failed and continue to fail. Young people no longer have faith and beliefs in the country. So they resort to the quickest way they can. |

Fun fact: The bandits, herdsmen, and others don’t like Buhari either. There was an interview where some of the bandits said things were better under Jonathan but like most Nigerians, they don’t bother to understand why things got worse. It was a mix of factors that began with the global oil price crash. I remember this clearly because even oil-rich countries made major decisions in response. Nigeria never built a strong economy beyond oil dependency. So no, Jonathan wasn’t necessarily better, there was just more money flowing then because oil prices were high. Then, Buhari came in with poor economic policies that dragged the country even further down. You’re right in your second point though, however, it wasn't about APC. They are all the same, . I insist that you have to be utterly gullible to care about a political party. Jonathan pushed voters to care about Buhari (particularly, the way Chibok girls affair was handled) and the SW political leaders were sidelined because Jonathan's people claimed that SW didn't vote for Jonathan. And there have always been herdsmen attacks that never made the news because many happened in the core North, often targeting Muslims (not Christians). And Southern attacks were not newsworthy until it became a major media focus when it suited political/religious interests to undermine Buhari. ( I'm not a fan of the man either. But let’s be honest; APC controls much of the media narrative we consume, so they are actually the ones also doing the reporting .). I still remembered one of the major news that triggered constant herdsmen. And I know of two incidents in my state that were reported wrongly, blamed on herdsmen, and I remembered other victims have testified that their attackers weren't Fulanis/Hausas but news reports and assumptions have claimed otherwise (Murder and Kidnapping and no, I am not denying that herdsmen attacks didn't happen)On top of that, economic conditions have worsened. People are poorer now, and when you add the impact of climate change on nomadic lifestyles, what you get is a ticking time bomb. Herdsmen no longer have enough food for their cattle and are also dealing with constant theft from cattle rustlers, refugee crises, border issues, and rising unemployment among youths. Combine all these, and what you get is exactly where we are today, a ticking time bomb that has finally gone off. Again, the constant herdsmen attacks or clashes aren’t mainly about ethnic superiority; they’re simply a reflection of government failure, much like unchecked armed robbery. There are no real consequences. Some of the very leaders condemning the violence even own the cattle being herded. As for IPOB, the government should have handled it the same way they dealt with Sunday Igboho. It would have been viewed as an anti-Igbo issue, and that opinion would have been fair given our distrust of ourselves and the deep bigotry that painted Buhari's emergence. But add to that the public’s deep distrust of the DSS and the Nigerian military, and the situation became far more volatile. The Igbo leaders also failed in comparison to how Yoruba leaders managed the Sunday Igboho affair, I remember some even made fun of us as being docile. Princewill1: |

So a man decides to grope a woman because she is beautiful and she could be at home sleeping in her nightie. God, did you even read your comment? Go back and read the last paragraph. codemaniacs:Our comment was based on this particular footage and not the ones not shown. This one was showing side view of people entering through that door, it is basically not useful unless paired with another one that shows frontal view, hence why I made that comment. However, I understand your point and I agree with you on the fact that there could be other ones within the building. |

Make use of your Tv or Google it on your phone. davidtemi:Please stop making yourself sound more studdidpod. I’m saying that that you didn’t have to expressly state the fact that she is beautiful and in her nightie. Women are “raped” for no reason by men. That statement is what makes it weird and that’s why no woman or child should be comfortable being in a room alone with you. It’s a weird thing to say. It can only come from a closet perv. Are female kids wearing “sexy” outfit before being abused? Go through the female comments on this thread. Most females admitted jumping due to fear of the worse. None of us would have mentioned her features or outfit. Even some men left that part out. Weirdo. Talking to you seems like a waste of time. A sponge holds information better. |

This thread sef and some comments Our house was burgled some times back, broke through the burglary/wall on a Sunday we went to church and went visiting, there a church that's very noisy besides us so I guess that noise was used as a cover these guys had all the time in the world they ransacked our house head to toe, I mean dusted all our clothes one by one, even undies oo.I believe those guys even saw us drive out. None of us were home oo but the fear stuck, even till now, anytime we all leave home it crosses my mind. Only that we now have a neighbour so we are now 2 . Even my son who was little then talks about the incident , calls them bad bad people. Got home at night to that so we couldn't fix it immediately ,so scared they could come that night , my husband had to stay in the room they broke the burglary keeping watch, I and the children in another room. I was so scared, I doubt any of us had a wink of sleep that night. It was then I understood the oyinbos talk about therapy, trauma etc etc. For what I didn't even experience directly I still have it at the back of my mind, for a long time we made sure someone was always home, even on Sundays , changed the gate to jam key instead of padlock because we felt that's how they confirmed no one was truly home, anytime I remember it I always cringe and they took laptop, phones and tablet and a flat screen TV in carton (guess they didn't know it had a broken screen ) So I can't even imagine those who have experienced armed robbery. Hmm ... |
