The Asagba of Asaba is demanding an apology from the FG and Nigerians as a whole for the so-called Aqaba Massacre.

I won't go into details on why I do not believe there was anything as such that occurred. I will reserve my own understanding of what truly transpired later in this thread.

But what was obviously clear to non IBO people of the then Midwestern region was how Midwestern Ibos collaborated with Biafran troops in invading and occupying the Midwest.

During the occupation a lot of atrocities and war crimes were carried out by Biafran soldiers on non Ibo Midwesterners with active connivance of both Ibo civilians residing in the Midwest and majority of Midwestern Ibos.

An underground resistance movement was quickly formed by non Ibo Midwesterners during the brief occupation in response to the occupation of their homeland and atrocities committed by Biafran forces and their civilian supporters.

In Biafra proper, ethnic minorities trapped in the hell hole were undergoing a slow genocide with Biafran and IBO civilians harassing and murdering minorities. Entire coastal communities were forcibly evacuated on the direct orders of ojukwu and marched into Iboland never go be seen again.

All manner of crimes against humanity were being perpetuated on the hapless minority people. Mass rapes, tortures and mass killings were the norm. Cannibalism was openly practiced by the occupying force.

At no time have the Ibos ever attempts to apologise for their war crimes that was what led to the whole abandoned property saga after the coastal enclaves were liberated.

Any attempt to remind the world of what the ethnic minorities went through both in Biafra and occupied Midwest is always met by a deluge of insults andthreats from Ibos .

What I don't understand about the Ibos in delta north is why did they not demand during the clamour for the creation of Midwest to be joined to the old Eastern region? They had another opportunity to join the SE when Delta state was being created but they insisted on remaining with people that say now are strangers.

Now that Anioma state is being tabled, it should be a matter of no debate that the future Anioma be joined to the SE.

I know of Abonnema the community was notorious in the confiscation of Igbo owned property which they tagged abandoned after the biafra war. Was your grandfather a beneficiary of one of those properties? So many Igbo property owners in those days died of heart break and depression seeing their hard work stolen from them in broad daylight. Even their descendants still clamour for justice to this day. Nigeria and injustice with Igbo is 5&6

Anioma people will tell you that they are not Igbos, though, though Igbo speaking.

The war crimes and gross human abuse and border line genocide committed by Ibos on minority people in both the occupied Midwest and the rogue Biafra state is well documented.

You were never innocent victims but the arch villains in 1966 and during the war.
