ogododo:This kperogi speaks with both side of the mouth... He is promoting the propaganda that Tinubu is visibilizing the Northern Yoruba, he is then also in the same token advising the North not to think that way. He is trying to eat his cake and still have it. He didn't analyze Attagiru Jega and Mamoud Yakubu during Buhari regime. Why the sudden interest now during Tinubu's time? He is promoting bigotry and at same time trying to excuse himself as a non-bigot. He has been obsessed with any news about the Yoruba, but then turn around to blame it on other people's opinions. He knew he has been a bigoted liar, especially coming from the same man who lied that Aisha Buhari had divorced Buhari before his death. He is a fake news monger who likes to use flowery English and long article to deceive his readers, This is a man, like Sowore, who gets people's opinions and then publish them as facts after embellishing them with lies and half-truths. Kperogi likes to warm his way into the heart of his fans whenever he misstepped by catching in on what is trending and coming up with no-substance, lengthy and bigoted, long articles to remain relevant. The North Central needs to be wary of him and ensure they see through his deep-rooted hatred of them. He is stylishly telling them they are not considered as Northerner. And so they need to always counter his vituperation against them. This is not only about Tinubu. It is a subtle campaign of calumny against the people of Benue, Jos, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, and the FCT. |

casualobserver:May I humbly ask of your own academic credentials while we are at this. Kperogi may not be in the class of those elite Professors you highlighted earlier, but portraying him as some kind of mediocre is what I won't stand for. |
| Re: New INEC Boss And Tinubu’s Visibilization Of Northern Yorubas- Kperogi by casualobserver: 8:15pm On Oct 11, 2025*. Modified: 8:31pm On Oct 11, 2025 |
Sheggy13:My academic qualifications are irrelevant. This is the internet I can say anything. Judge what I say by the substance of what I post. Is what I am saying right or not, on the internet that is what matters. Kperogi is a mediocre in the eyes of those who understand what standards are. You are free to believe what you want. Pick any name of the list of professors I gave earlier. I will give you a detailed cv of his reach internationally. I will find academics from the top universities who have referenced his publications in their papers. That’s how you know people of caliber. I am sorry your opinion doesn’t matter. Facts don’t lie Pick up my challenge and browse the internet and give academic papers, conference papers, research papers from reputable professors and academics ABROAD that have cited Kperogi. That’s the ultimate measure of your caliber or mediocrity in academia. Your opinion is no different from mine or that or an okada rider, it’s irrelevant. What makes the opinion valid is the ability to back it up with facts. What is relevant is being able to show, this academic from this reputable university cites Kperogi as his source. You will struggle. And that’s how you know a mediocre academic. The truth doesn’t care what “you stand for” especially if you can’t back it up. You are professor who presents a paper at an international conferences of the worlds best in your field in a reputable elite university or environment is not the same as a professor who presents a paper at a conference in ladoke Akintola university where your audience and peer reviews are local equally mediocre academics. |

Sheggy13:I don't know why they are arguing that! Even here in Lagos I have seen a YORUBA lady from Edo (Utsen) she hears a YORUBA name but she said she isn't a YORUBA and I have seen many from Okun Kabba axis also ... So I don't know why they are arguing |

ariesbull:The fact that the writer quoted two people who doesn't have true knowledge of history about their people doesn't make it the truth. Anyone can write anything and that doesn't * mean it is the gospel truth. The okun people I know all claim to be Yoruba. |

ariesbull:Your problem is you are being emotional. Academics do not deal in emotion. What does my qualifications mean to you? Does my saying I have a PhD (I haven’t said so) make a lie a truth or make anything I have posted any more credible? This is the problem with you people. Your obsession with the irrelevance of my academic qualifications shows you suffer for the poverty of mind of many Africans who are seduced by titles and certificates. Which is why you find it hard to believe that a professor from a lowly ranked university in America is mediocre. Question the validity of what I have posted and stop being obsessed with certificates and titles. By the way Wole Soyinka never had a PhD. I challenged you to show where your professor is cited and regarded by his peers internationally. You can start with conferences, citations or peer reviews from the American press institute or American institute of journalism after all that’s where he works? If you can’t please don’t reply me and let the matter die. I have given enough time to the subject. |

ademijuwonlo:From the post and the way the writer wrote .he is well versed and the articles is well researched that what you are spinning out here filled with emotions The article is on point ! He did research well... And what he said about the Okun and Kabba axis folks are what I have personally experienced and his sense of geography and history is too notch far better than what you will put up there now or in future ... With all due respect The few Okun folks I know hate to be called Yoruba and the Kabba even some Yoruba speaking parts in Edo also...don't like to be called Yoruba ...those around Utsen that speak Yoruba and bear a Yoruba name yiu dare not call them Yoruba also And you dare not call all the Ondo folks Yoruba... Just like that Sahara reporter dude he can't be called Yoruba ! Even here in Lagos you dare not call the egun and these badagry folks Yoruba at all neither can you can. Tapa folks at Apapa axis Yoruba also... We know these things and these people say they can't be classed as Yoruba |

ariesbull:Those few do not represent the majority. Omoyele Sowore claimed to be from the ijaw part of Ondo but this part is the minority not the majority (Yorubas) and therefore they can't be used to draw an inference. |

ademijuwonlo:Just like Kabba and Okun and Egun ...the name is a Yoruba name... Omoloyele or it's Yoruba sounding but he said he ain't yoruba Same the way I have seen many Kabba ,Okun, Egun even in Edo state region boardering Akoko that bear Yoruba and speak Yoruba but they will always tell you that they can't be called Yoruba |

ariesbull:I'm from ekiti part of Kwara State and I'm proudly Yoruba. I'm married to someone from kabba and she's also proudly Yoruba. Don't dabble into what you don't know jack about. You'll never meet any blue blood Yoruba person from the North Central deny their Yorubaness, except maybe that person is a defendant of slaves not originally Yoruba. If you see anyone denying been Yoruba and he or she is from Kogi West, check his or her ancestry. The okun people know the descendants of slaves among them. |

Northerners do not and have never seen yorubas as northerners. The northerners can see what tinubu is doing and they will protest this vehemently. Southerners will too. In the end, tinubu will have only yorubas to support him. madridguy: |

Now here is a guy who loves democracy 😅 Dude, I'm from the South South, we will definitely not vote for Tinubu in 2027. It's only in your head that we're "locked". I love how you want APC to be the only party in Nigeria and tinubu to be the only candidate for elections. This confirms that you guys want to install your dictatorship. Don't complain when the military take a cue from your madness and overthrows tinubu 😂 I know I won't helinues: |

Bro, why are you making me feel like the victim here? People like me don't have the luxury of running to another nation. The best I could do is lending my voice to what I feel is right. Last I checked, it's one of the key prerequisite of democracy. If you have a problem with that, the joke is on you. We saw how SA, did their election so seamlessly. But the reverse is the case in Nigeria. Our election process is trash! Take that to the bank. omooba969: |

DeOTR:that is you and I am telling you what I experienced... My ex Seun is from there and she was saying that she isn't Yoruba mind you we were dating then here in Lagos So some would see themselves as Yoruba Some will not see themselves as Yoruba As the wrote even observed which I totally agree and even many Yoruba look down upon them ! Look at the recent killing in Yoruba community . In North Central . How many Yoruba spoke up ? What some said is "what do they want Yoruba people to do...by the way they aren't in South west " that's what some said here ...I read the post So FANI KAYODE that said that he shouldn't be identified as Yoruba but another name is now a descendant of slave according to you ! Weather blue blood, pink blood etc... what I know is that some don't agree to be called Yoruba ! Even if they have Yoruba name! Just like the father of Bukola Sariki who was the former governors of Kwara Olusola Sariki said that he isn't a Yoruba man but from Mali making them Fulani so you can't call them Yoruba |
