Reaffirming Nigeria’s independence, the government maintained that its foreign policy is driven by mutual respect, cooperation, and sovereignty, not by colonial influence.
“Our relationship with Britain and other nations is one of partnership, not control.

Russia would do better focusing on its internal issues than mocking Africa’s largest democracy,” it concluded.
