The full list of people Tinubu pardoned and their crime is available in this link https://x.com/imranmuhdz/status/1977043539608351034?s=46 Omo! Na drug dealers, convicted killers and thieves Tinubu pack full the list. 😲 Not less than 55% of the people on the list were either sentenced for running cocaine/cannabis, homicide (killing someone) or thieves involved in illegal mining & armed robbery. I even saw two different human traffickers on the list who had their prison terms reduced significantly and kidnappers too. This kind of politics is really really bad for optics

BlueRayDick:Very bad, on what basis do you show clemency to murderers, kidnappers and drug runners who ruin innocent lives. What more can you expect from a Government that rewards militancy and terrorism with fat security contracts and huge payoffs. More reason many people are joining the underworld in various guise......its no longer a secret that people are now hunted, kidnapped and butchered for their organs in Nigeria. Human parts trading. These are the kind of things you read about in books or movies narrating earth post desolation. |

Tochex101:It's very very bad bro. I know APC and Tinubu supporters will come up with defensive points justifying the clemency/ presidential pardon within the next 24 hours, but to an average Nigeria this is not good for optics at all. 1. Illegal mining has been alleged over time to be responsible for the insecurity in the northwest particularly Zamfara state. Today Tinubu is granting clemency to convicted illegal miners. Is that not rewarding bad behaviour in the society? 2. NAPTIP(the agency responsible for combating human trafficking) spends hundreds of millions yearly on investigation, hiring of lawyers and prosecution of human trafficking offenders but president dey grant convicted human traffickers reduction of sentence. To achieve what exactly? 3. NDLEA spends hundreds of millions to arrest and prosecute drug mules and drug barons. Some of their officers even get shot at while trying to effect arrest against big drug lords ; yet Tinubu is letting go the few ones the agency has successfully convicted. 4. Kidnappers too are getting clemency then we wonder why kidnapping is almost a daily occurrence on major federal highways in the country. What is even worse is the precedent this administration is setting with these ill-advised use of executive power. We may as well wake one day to see ritualists, terrorists and mass murders getting pardoned by another government then they will refer us to the precedent Tinubu set. |

BlueRayDick:The Nigerian correctional system is something else chief. I was in a abeokuta last year when I saw one of our guys who was sentenced to prison for macheting another man over APC LP disagreement. I was surprised when I saw the werey ordering isi ewu and drinks for us at the bar na hin I corner him brother ask am kilon sup? That one said he (prisoner) gets weekend passes whenever he likes and travels from Lagos to ogun to chop life then returns on Monday morning |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 9:16am On Oct 12, 2025 |
So that guy who was sentenced to death for defending himself against Fulani Herdsmen was not granted clemency yet someone who carried out premeditated murder was granted because she's from influential family? 😲

Another fact that this Presidential pardon exposes is how weird the convictions are. You sentence a 70 year old man to 15 years for selling Cannabis, and then a 30+ year old to 5 years for a similar offense. Also, our anger should be channelled more to the committee that created the list. AGN, CAN, and all of them who didn't see it worthy to release a man that was defending himself from his attacker, but released Maryam. Well, nothing spoil. One day, One day. |

izzou:What If they included him in their recommendations but his application was not approved by the presidency? The report, presented to the council of state in Abuja, showed that 175 inmates were interviewed and 294 applications reviewed.Just saying; In this country, the weight of the person pushing for you also matters. 294 apocations were received and submitted and 175 made the cut eventually. What if the guy who acted on self defense was amongst those who didn't make the 175 list? Come to think of it, a presidency at its infancy that used fake bishops to to give the current president's campaign endorsement tells you they included CAN in the committee doesn't make you think the CAN they are referring to may be the same agbado bishops who don't really give a 4ck about Sunday Jackson? Finally, the overview of the 175 that made the list shows their fate was already predertmined. Even if me and you were allowed to nominate people who would make the list ; those 175 people will still make it one way or another. It is what it is! |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 11:45am On Oct 12, 2025 |
CrystalTiger:Omo! 😲 Nigeria is just a jungle where the powerful out muscle the weak and make them live with whatever decision tbey make. The major probably has someone within the committee who is very powerful and pushed for his case. Tinubu probably has hungry sycophants around him who just needed the right cash inducent to push for the major's inclusion in the pardon/clemency list for them to do their thing. |

BlueRayDick:One of my brother’s friends who killed someone with his car on a highway has been in prison since 2014 with trial. Abi it’s Peter who just left prison after spending 12 years because he chook someone with bottle on his hand. The person decided to let him go after 12 years for a crime he committed at 18. There’s are thousands of innocent people in prison who hasn’t seen the four walls of a court room. |

Tinubu has destroyed our economy here with this stupid policy. .... trying to force down the price of commodities through the back door. Input is more expensive than output. Just imagine. How farmers wan take make profit.
